So Josh has joined up too? Obviously that's the end of Head Coach, but maybe with those two teaming up on Madden's franchise mode we'll start to see some nice improvements.

I think you are correct. I doubt we will be seeing another head coach title in a long time. I am so excited to hear Josh and Donny will in on this madden and the fact that Ian is the lead on this team is GREAT news. I have a ton of confidence in him simply because of the dedication he has put on these boards, and the fact that Madden this year will be aiming solely for the realism of the NFL. That is GREAT GREAT news for us gamers.

Big thanks to Ian and his team. I look forward to hearing more info!

This will be a lot like Bungie's Weekly updates for Halo im guessing just better, because we'll actually be able to interact way more because we'll be able to digest actual areas of the game..........

Nice team Ian! I'm particularly happy that both Donny AND Josh are on board. I found them both to be very helpful, knowledgeable, and insightful over on the HC boards.

I am hoping with their presence franchise will finally get back to being the mode that sets the standard for this game. Add to that your focus on gameplay and I'm actually pretty optomistic. You've got a way to go to get this thing right, but both your team and philosophy are definitely the right first step!

That's a very bold statement. I hope guys are ready to live up to that because you just put an imense amount of pressure on your shoulders. Madden fans will be looking for:

Handwarmers, towels, all facemasks, etc
Chain Gang
True playoff atmosphere, and crowd noise in general
Commentary with more emotion
Drastically improved presentation
Realistic animations, no more guys running around like robots and androids
Most importantly Signature Animations!!!!

I'm beyond hype now, can't wait for the draft to see some screens.

Ian, why aren't you on television giving these types of updates? Why doesn't Madden have a spot on G4 or ESPN or something, just a 5 minute segment on the making of Madden 2010.
