Did you intially have some issues and this fixed the problem?

Yes I did. It was pretty bad. Since I made those fixes, it's like a completely different game to me.

Pitches that I would normally be late on and miss, I am now fouling them off. Hits that went to the opposite field are now being pulled.

I also don't have to lower the pitch speed slider all the way to the left now. No lag, no stutter. Maybe I'm nuts, or maybe just by reloading the game caused it to work. I don't know.

Here are my impressions after these fixes: This game ****ing rocks!

Another thing I don't really understand is some people think that 09 plays exactly the same as 08 with a few "minor tweaks". Umm..they must not be playing the same demo we are.

I recently bought a PS3, bought 08 and I played the game furiously before playing the 09 demo, and almost everything is different. The graphics, the animations, the player models and faces, the crowd...the batting and pitching mechanics feel different and tighter.

If this demo is this good and it's a build from a while ago, I can't even imagine how good the final game will be. I think The Show 09 is a masterpiece in every possible way not only for a baseball game but for a SPORTS game.

This isn't an issue in the finished version of the game I'm sure the game its not perfect but frame rate issues are nonexistent.

so russel, are u implying it could be an issue in the demo? i mean its not down to out tvs?

The only gripe I have with the game are pitch speeds. They come in a little slow. Nothing a few slider tweaks can't fix. And to whoever said this plays the same as 08, you couldn't be more wrong. Not sure if it's the lighting or what, but the player models look sweet.

I'm not implying anything there are many factors that could be leading to the issues some are having. But the finished version of the game does not have frame rate issues at all.

I am telling you right now, dont panic in that regard. It is NOT your TV.

The framerate dip people are noticing has nothing to do with "input lag".

If you have a 1080p TV, you can get the same "smooth look" by just un-checking your 720p option in your PS3 so the PS3 forces it to go in 1080p. Then you will be running at 30FPS and not 60, so it may be less noticeable, or wont even dip at all since it is already less than 60 FPS.

Input lag is something totally different, and has to do with timing or twitch based online games. Nothing to do with framerate dips some are seeing.

So very true but I like the pitch speeds. The only "little" issue I had with the game is when the coach came out to the mound for a mound visit. He puts his hand on the pitchers shoulder but it doesn't touch the shoulder, it's kinda in air so to speak.

It's very minor. Not nitpicking. I love the game!

btw im really forcing my memory here, and i can cleary remember i had this same issue with 08 demo! ill download it again tonight to be 100% sure..but as of now im 95% sure i had this...
so im feeling quite good now, since 08 full version run smooth as butter!
