Again, I didn't really play last year's game, but there appears to be several things to make the user pitching more difficult.

Like you mentioned, the pitch meter speed would make it more difficult similar to how it did for MVP.

Lowering the Gesture Recognition would make you have to be extremely accurate with making the pitch correct or it would probably be a bad pitch. That probably would tie in with the Hold Timing and Release Timing sliders as well.

I think with a combination of those 4 things, you could manage to make pitching more difficult if needed.

I tried with MVP's meter slider and had it all the way to the hardest....still didn't issue walks. I am afraid if EVERYTHING is dependent on user skill that we will master it after a while and then no walks problem will creep up again.

I would hate it if everything in the game's gameplay department is spot on and then it be ruined by the user pitching.

I really want to own 2 baseball games this year ......even if 2k's OFFLINE gameplay is slightly less than competitor's but it's generally solid , I would buy it and probably use it for online play as I have no faith with PSN ....none

I see what you mean, but that was more of just a flaw of MVP. To give up walks on MVP you had to actually throw balls intentionally to work the count.

I just can't wait for the demo....I really really have a good feeling about this game.....

It might surprise me and even be the best this year....

It bothers me because it's the same BS time after time after time. The graphics sux. The screens are doctored...blah blah blah..

Anyway. I am really stoked for this game. It really seems like VC "put the work in," so to speak. I think a lot of people will be surprised this year. I am.

I'm more and more excited as well. I've been guilty in the past of saying that I wasn't sure that VC could "polish this turd", but I'm looking to be proven wrong. Let's hope framerate is good, and balls/strikes/walks are good. I still have my doubts that it will be easy to throw perfect strikes again this year every time.

Oh, and great work Steve! Can't wait to see some video from you!

I really want to see this live effect they have going. The NHL 2k9 is good at it, but it is too jerky at times. So I am curios to see what they can do.

All in all i really liked what i seen, the graphics people are complaining about, if 2k7 is 10 and 2k8 is a 5 2k9 gets about a 7.5
Look at NBA 2k photos not the kg one and no super close-ups just raw gameplay they dont look that good and when you pop it in the 360 with real world and HD it looks much much better am I right?

Trust me I am right. It is just like using a comma with and. Now some say you don't some say you do. Oh well. One thing about English grammar! It sucks! That vid has me pumped! I like what I saw and having Timmy's pitching motion. I am very PUMPED!
One more thing put a ' after your It. Blame Nem and Jim. They woke an English Major up, so now it is time to reread everything I post and help others in the mean time! lol Which is good, becasue I am going for my Masters, and I have to write a thesis, so might as well get the practice in!

I happen to like the graphics in nba 2k9. that being said, Its the constant wow factor I get everytime I play it because of the overall package...mlb 2k9 might fit in this category.For the record I love the menu system, Let hope that each players card is just like nba, click on name, Boom! stats at fingertips. Very user friendly...

OH man this thread is crazy. Keep them coming fellows. And oh yeah i like the nba2k9 menus. Graphics are good enough not 2k7 but it will do. All I care about is the framerate and the gameplay.
