    Los Angeles Kings(NHL 09)

    LOS ANGELES KINGS

    Difficulty: All-Star
Sliders: Savioe's with a few changes
    Rosters: Current

Los Angeles, CA-In a rather unpredictable move, the Kings organization fired President and GM Dean Lombardi and Coach Marc Crawford turned to Andrew Dellapina to lead the team. Dellapina has been relatively unknown, but some sources at the LA organization contacted him and asked him if he'd be interested, and he jumped at the chance.
"Obviously, this team needs some work," Dellapina said. "Our goaltending isn't very good. But we have some great young talent, especially Anze. He could definitely be one of the NHL's elite in a year or two, with the right surrounding personnel." Dellapina said he's been working on some trades, and some big changes should be seen soon.

DELLAPINA STARTS CAREER OFF WITH BANG, SIGNS THREE YOUNG STARS

    To Atlanta:
Alexander Frolov and Patrick O' Sullivan
    AND

    To Los Angeles:
    Ilya Kovalchuk

    To NY Rangers:
    Dustin Brown and Jason LaBarbera

    AND

    To Los Angeles:
    Henrik Lundqvist and Marc Staal

    AND

Coach's Comments: First of all, Kovalchuk is a franchise player. Him and Kopitar on the same line, that's almost unimaginable. Frolov and O' Sullivan will give the Thrashers some young talent, and should prove to be great players. The Rangers trade was the one we've been looking for for a while. We desperately needed a goalie, and Lundqvist was one of our top picks. He's definitely an improvement, and he's still young. He's definitely already one of the league's best. Marc Staal is a great young player, and I'm confident that one day he'll be patrolling the blue line as the top defenseman of the Kings. Dustin Brown was obviously a big loss, and LaBarbera was our top goalie, but they had to be traded in order for this team to improve.

DELLAPINA CONTINUES TO WHEEL AND DEAL, NABBING SEMIN AND POMINVILLE

      To Buffalo:
      Brian Boyle

      To Los Angeles:
      Jason Pominville

      To Washington:
Ladislav Nagy and 2nd Round Draft Pick

      To Los Angeles:
      Alexander Semin

Coach's Comments: Jason Pominville should be a great offensive producer. He'll be playing on our second line. Brian Boyle should offer them some young talent for their offense. I hate to see Nagy go, but our team is young enough that we don't need to have every draft pick, and Alexander Semin is too much to pass up. He'll be playing on the first line with Kovalchuk and Kopitar, finishing off an unbelievable first line that should score and score and score.

DELLAPINA MAKES LAST MINUTE DEAL, TRADING STOLL FOR GIONTA

        To New Jersey:
Jarret Stoll and 3rd Round Draft Pick

        To Los Angeles:
        Brian Gionta

Coach's Comments: Jarret is a great young player who should do well under the Devils. We needed one more right winger to seal the deal on offense as of right now, and this was it. Small, yes, but Gionta makes an impact. I can't wait to see him on the ice tonight versus the highly touted San Jose Sharks.

But I had to trade Brown to get Lundqvist...no one wanted LaBarbera. Anyways, Frolov was worth it. I have Kovalchuk.

              106 Passes 144

In a game where many though that the Los Angeles Kings would come out with piles of goals, they were treated with none. Every shot went either into superman Nabakov's pads, or over the net. Meanwhile, Joe Thornton planted himself in front of the net and effortlessly put two past Lundqvist. "I'm really disappointed," Coach Dellapina commented. "But what can I do? I put out there the best team I could, and it's their job to perform, not mine. I think we need to work on the basics of shooting in practice."

KOPITAR AND GIONTA SHOW HINT OF WHAT COULD BE AS KINGS AVENGE LOSS AT HOME

                VS

                Code:

                120 Passes 93

After losing the last game by a miserable margin of 3 goals, the Kings knew they needed to convert on their opportunities. Well they had a great opportunity tonight, and they didn't disappoint. Anze Kopitar and Gionta tag-teamed on a fantastic goal, one which would ultimately put the Sharks away. "It was a great play. I'd give the puck to Kopi, and if he couldn't score, I'd get it and give it back. Fortunately, I only had to play fetch once," commented Gionta, rather comically, on the play. Goalie Henrik Lundqvist also played a fantastic game, turning aside 25 shots. Said Coach Dellapina, "The team played much better today. I think they're finally figuring out how to shoot. However, Kopi hit the post on that empty net at the end, and Gionta missed an empty netter. I think our shooting fundamentals class isn't quite over."

Really, I don't care whether or not I have the CAPs. I also don't care whether or not I have the Kings players. I didn't pick the team because I'm a Kings fan, I picked them because they have lots of cap space and some good young players that can bring in a lot in trades. I have no emotional attachment to Dustin Brown, so I have no problem in trading him to get Henrik Lundqvist and Marc Staal. I have no problem trading Alexander Frolov, a very good player at best, for Ilya Kovalchuk, who became franchise player number two alongside Anze Kopitar. Kopitar, and Johnson are the only two I actually care about keeping. Keep bashing my trades, but Gionta already has an assist and the entire team has been dominating the play.

AHHHHHHHH!!!!! YOU TRADED BROWNIE AND FRO!!! :P Good dyansty though, interesting trades. You added a franchise goaltender, dominant young defenseman, and a superstar winger to complement Kopy on the 1st line. Questionable trades, yet good still. Nice dynasty.

Are you seriously talking about bad trades? You of all people... Don't bash somebody else dynasty if you can't keep a consistent one yourself, and when one lasts longer than a day its all horrible trades to stack up on Canucks players.
