Ugh, Griffey's stance is still terrible. Has been the same since 2K7. Why on earth did they change it? 2K5 had the stance down perfect.

And is it just me, or does the CPU have trouble hitting breaking balls?

who doesnt?A lot of players have trouble with down breaking curves. The ones that hang get mashed. those were good pitches. Can we see a bigger sample before we speculate now that the comp cant hit breaking stuff?

I just mean that they're falling apart on every swing. Maybe it's even because the pitch speed in general is so slow that they're having trouble, so if we raise it they may not. I really don't know.

Right now I'm more disappointed in Griffey's stance. This is possibly his last year and they didn't bother getting it back to how it was a few years ago.

Yea Griff looked a little funky. Could be the camera angle maybe?? whats with #17?? I know he is half the player he was when he had #24 so maybe he is going to wear 17....l:wink:

I have to say....the side angle...thats sick...totally see that breaking ball fall. And when the crowd starts chanting Griffey....Griffey....I was so wanting him to smash one over the wall!

No, it's the batting stance. Again, it's been the same since 2K7. If you played 2K5 for Xbox (I can't quote on 2K6 because I never played with him), you'd know what I'm talking about. In fact, his stance (plus capturing GAB pretty well) were two big reasons I chose the Reds for a franchise. The other reason was because 2K5 had some bug where west coast stadiums couldn't be played at night during franchise. That was a weird one.

Anyway, I'm trying to find a video of 2K5 that shows what I'm talking about. It looked flippin' great. Granted, the stride and swing were ugly as most of 2K5's animations were, but the stance was damn sexy like it is in real life. It just makes me wonder why they ever decided to change it is all.

is 2k not contractually allowed to update the player photos? I see guys who have been on 2-3 teams since their last picture was changed in the game.

I know and this is probably one of the more minor issues (has no impact on gameplay), but it's just such an eye sore to see Rich Harden throwing for the Cubs with an A's hat on.

If a move was made right after they locked up rosters, I could see it, but moves made during the cut off date that aren't reflected is inexcusable IMO. It just looks sloppy. I wonder if K-Rod, Texiera, Sabathia will get a little favoritism and get their new duds.

Also, maybe this is one of the last things they do when they fine tune their final rosters, so maybe there is hope in the final version these will be fixed.

Those portraits are usually taken during spring training so they're only going to be updated once a year. Now it would be nice if VC could just digitally alter them the way ESPN does when a player changes teams.

Question..why were the fans cheering when the first batter grounded out, after he threw to first

lol...if only that were the case.

They're not even updated that much. Maybe it's improved in the final version this year...who knows.

To be honest, this doesn't bother me at all as I could care less about player pics (as long as they're there). I could see why it would bug others though.

Any way to record these movies so we can see just how smooth the gameplay is? For me, the video isn't smooth, I know it's not the game, I don't think it's my computer.
