Re: Major League Baseball 2K9 Video: Orioles @ Bluejays (Errors)
yeah but he was coming in pretty fast there and wasnt called off until the last second, i could see that happening in real life and confusion occurring. The left fielder might have looked him off for a split second and just dropped the ball. I watched it again and it's more believable the 2nd time.Last edited by kGinGreen; 02-21-2009, 02:10 PM.Comment

Watch it again and watch the center fielder. Plays like that happen all the time especially if you are the Orioles. It's funny because that play led to a big inning when they could have been out of it.
The weakest part of this video was the commentary imo. It was all kind of canned. It would be great if they could somehow get the commentary where if something happens multiple times it will be more to the situation. The first error occured and then the wild pitch. And it was all like they were completely unrelated. When they finally got out of it it wasn't really a big deal. The commentary realyl should remark if an error occurs and then another one. There should be a different remark for the 2nd one. Same with back to back hits or homeruns or whatever. At the end of the inning they should also comment on those things.Last edited by kGinGreen; 02-21-2009, 02:14 PM.Comment

I would have loved to see the collision actually... I wonder what type of collision detection they have this year. Last year was pretty good for outfielders, so I wonder what they have in store for us this year?"Ain't gonna learn what you don't wanna know"....GDComment

I liked the error on the hit to right field better because it was more believable as opposed to the one in left where it was totally random on a routine fly. Good to see the ball squirting away from the catcher.
On another note, I cannot believe how god awful that base running icon setup looks in the bottom right. They used to have a great setup there visually speaking. Those runners on rails remind me of old baseball board games.Comment

The more I see the more i don`t like what i see.It is looking very much like last year.2 or 3 errors happening in 1 inning, pitcher composure going up the roof.Comment

I personally didn't think it was that bad. I actually liked the OF errors. I particularly liked the animation on the over-runned ball by Markakis (I think?) were he kinda half scoops it and loses it. Pretty cool, IMO (don't remember it from last year either).Comment
