Also, those of you having issues with finding the demo, XBOX Live is having problems. I keep getting booted from Live. I was able to download it earlier by browsing the demo titles. It was under Sports and Rec.

Not there either....well, it's there but you can't download it now.

This stinks; the demo is no longer available.

I went to MLB 2K9 in the list of demos. MLB 2K7 shows 2K9's box art, 2K9 has is listed but shows a a blank box, and the 2K9 demo is listed as "content unavailable."

This sucks.

The same for me. I returned NBA 2k9 for Live and I'm happy I have a PS3 cause i'm not getting MLB 2k9. Good luck with the game guys.

I just found a work around for people having problems with XBox Live.

Sign into your XBOX.com account and add the demo to your queue. As soon as you power up your XBOX 360, it will start to download (as it is for me right now)!

Really. 2K must have heard the bad reviews and decided to pull back the demo..."No more demo for you" Nah, all jokes aside, that is strange.

this thread is great. Everyone is all over the place. Some love hitting, some hate hitting, some think you get call K's, some think you never get called K's. And on and on and on.....

I havnt played it yet since im working, I always hate it when people give a 1 sided view. No game is ever a 10 and no game is ever a 0. If you cant find one pro or con in your opinion, then your only looking for the good or bad.....and your opinion offers no value and even less credibility

i aprieciate the people who are posting both pros and cons. Keep it up :righton:

its been like that all morning.....i ran into the same issue but was able to start the DL before leaving for work

goto games marketplace>>>>demos>>>>>new Arrivals
you will see 2 options, 1 is the greyed option for not available and the other is for ALL DOWNLOADS

Click ALL DOWNLOADS and you will get the demo

As a brief aside... Microsoft has had MLB 2K7 and 2K9 mixed up on the Marketplace for a week and a half. Doesn't anyone at Take2 notice? It will likely lead to potential customers downloading a 2 year old demo and leaving unimpressed.

i dont think they are regressing, but to me, the game play improvements are not much of an upgrade. the throwing, fielding etc just is stale to me i guess. same with nba 2k, they make a great b-ball game, but just is stale..

Well I am impressed so far....there is just a "fun" factor about this game. I really like the hitting and a lot of the negatives from last year seemd to be gone. The commentary is top notch, and the presentation/living world is really well done.

It may not equal that of the competition this year, but if VC puts the same effort into next years game.......could be very close.

Compared to 2K8, this is so much better. Great gameplay, nice framerate and best of all some nice HD graphics and lighting.

Good job in a one year turnaround by VC. It's a good game of baseball and though it's not perfect, it's definitely an improvement.

I struck a batter out and he looked at all the pitches.

It seemed the better I started using the pitcher circle the more K's got called without a swing.

Count me as one of those that are impressed with the demo. After the first 3 inning game this demo felt totally different than last year's mess. The presentation is great, I saw all kinds of different hits, the controls felt good, I saw 2 errors in 3 games, and I had FUN playing. And I would have to say the commentery is the best I have heard in a baseball game. I was caught a couple of times just listening and not paying attention to the action on the screen. The only real negative I thought was the ai did seem to swing at almost everything that was in the zone. But I did have my share of strike outs as well. I am very excited to get this game upon release.

To switch baserunners, you cycle between the runner using the A button.
