Nope, I like the phillies for what they are, a good team that plays as a team. Utley is amazing and howard is a stud. But victorino the 2nd best CF. Even a real philly fan has to be laughing his tail off at that. I mean, he had his little moments in the field and on the basepaths last year but what else?

Yeah i get it but victorino has amazing d and he's fast but i admit his hitting is to high. He should be maybe 4th because of his d.

As a Sox fan I must say im happy to see Jacoby Ellsbury rated 6th. But at the same time I feel that may be high. Hopefully he has the type of year to justify that postion.

Well obviously there needs to be. Such a great game but dang some of these ratings are ridiculous. I know we can change them but if they are going for the true realism of the game then they need to do a lot better in this area. I am almost speechless for Vic and Taveras ratings over Hamilton and Granderson. Might need to have some human touch in 10.

This statement confuses me.

By all accounts, Torii Hunter was an average CF last year as his range has fallen dramatically. What were the fielding ratings derived from then? I can't imagine it's stats there. That fielding rating screams "human touch" to me.

Carlos Gomez is practically the same value of offensive player as Willy Taveras but is the best CF in baseball by the numbers, yet Willy shows on the list and Gomez does not (nor would I argue he should). Taveras was pretty poor on defense last year by the numbers as well.

If I'm not mistaken i believe the Rangers were talking about moving Josh Hamilton to RF. Seen it on MLB Network. I only think that will be realistic if Andruw Jones Makes the team out of Spring training.

Yeah....he can play alright....but I think he is rated a bit high. IMO....no way should he be rated above Hamilton.

The reason Ellsbury is rated highly is because he is a Red Sox, not because he is actually the 6th best CF in baseball. The reason Hamilton isn't ahead of him is because he plays for the Rangers. The reason McLouth isn't on the list is because he plays for the Pirates.
The reason Taveras is on the list is anybody's guess, that's just crazy. I would expect to see his name on the bottom 10 list. He's a replacement level player, so if he's in the top 10 in the league then the rest of the league must have below replacement level CFs, uh oh.

Victorino is overrated because of the exposure he got during the playoffs and world series.

Either way, it's calculated the same way for everyone, so it's fair.

There can NEVER, EVER be a true listing of players, in a numerical order, that everyone will agree on. EVER. NEVER. EVER.
