Wow 2k deletes posts that don't give their game favorable reviews.

I posted a review over at 2k and they deleted it. no wonder everything looks promising over there. Nice way to give people who are researching the game a fair look.

This is what i posted- I did it twice because my original post disapeard and i just didn't know why it disapeared and they deleted it twice. I then posted what i said above and they deleted that too then banned me.....

"I have no issue with the presentation and certain aspects of this game I like somewhat. But when it comes down to it, its the same old 2k. They are really scraping here. It's been proven that better can be done here. This game is caught between trying to be a sim and an arcade game and it doesnt do either overly well. The AI really needs to be overhauled here. Too many bugs, too many glitches, too much scripted AI 2k. This is pretty much a pitch and hit game with very little in between when it comes down to it. Low pitch counts, low pitch totals. poor fielding and AI. Too much contact. It's ok but it's also not very good. I'm glad I was smart enough to rent it. I probably shouldnt have even done that. I knew better but i was bored and i cant get a ps3 yet.

I know this post will **** some people off and it sounds negative but that isn't my intent. I think the game does some nice things. The batter walkups and some of the camera shots are brilliant. The AI does some ncie things in spots as well. But it's just kind of true. Ultimately in the end 2k ended up with a pretty good to mediocre baseball game here that just doesnt stack up."

Isn't that kind of slimy? No offense to 2k but it kind of is right?? I lost a whole lot of respect for that company right there.

Just curious, why would you expect anything else? Dog a game on their own site? It's just a common sense move. You didn't think you were making breaking news here did you?

no i didn't. I just think that's messed up because the average person is going to read their site and see favorable stuff and go out and buy thte game. That's just dirty tactics imo. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

The average person is an idiot if they go to the companies boards in order to find a non-biased review. To be honest, the average person could care less about the whole battle of Show vs. 2k9, and most of the gameplay stuff we complain about. You should see my friends, ignorance is bliss.

They've been doing that for years over there. Nothing new.

You can't blame 2K for that. It'd bring bad business (ie. no business) if they left that kind of review up on the site. The same thing stands with reviews of any retail product.

If it's a bad review, you can't expect the publisher/retailer to support it. That's common sense. If everyone were transparent, the world would be a nicer, but it's not.

fair enough, but it would be nice if it was. I cant stand selfish bastards. 2k's game speaks volumes for that imo at this point. If you cant respect the people who want to like your games and purchase them then what do you have? I really wanted to like this game that's the thing. I wouldn't be here wasting my time, saying these things if I didn't. But i'm also a realist and smart enough to call it like i see it. This just shows that 2k isnt about satisfying the gamer in all of this. They are about making money first and foremost. I already knew that but it's true. It's their own stupidity because I really would at least like to believe that it should bite them in the *** ultimately. which it probably won't and gamers will have to suffer. They aren't listening like they say they are.

I am not real smart, but I think this comment can rub people the wrong way.

Depends what kind of review it is. I have been critical of certain things and i am a mod over there. I have no problems saying the quirks that are wrong with the game and i have posted them many times on them forums.

If one of the mods feels your post was out of hand, they will lock it or delete it, just like any other website.

was that out of hand? I was just speaking my mind. You have to admit whether you agree with it or not, those are legitament concerns. Like i said i'm not knocking the game too bad. There are things i like about it. If there weren't i wouldn't be here posting.

Some of the mods were bashing it, which is probably even worse than a user doing it. LOL

To take them down is pretty bad though, I never visit those forums, so really no clue how they run them, but deleting the posts completely...ugh.

Isn't it all about making money? If you had a product and someone was going around saying it sucked, you would make sure you shut him up. Example, BOSE! I don't think I ever seen a review for their product in a major Hi Fi mag. But I know they suck, but the people that see the fancy commercial think it's the best money can buy.

Marketing! Shut up the nay sayers.

Deleting negative threads is not the worst of it. One of the kids who moderate that forum started a thread last week, and was editing posts within the thread that weren't in line with what he considered "on topic with my thread." It's like Lord of the Flies over there -- kiddie rulers gone mad.
