Re: NCAA Football 10 Blog: It's in the Details
Was answered in another thread. TCF will NOT be in the game. Right now OMT is debating if he should put Minnesota in a generic open stadium or leave them in the dome.

It's not? Why the hell not? Don't put them back in the G'D Dome. It's not going to be completed on time but there's many finished renders of what it will look like. EA can't us those to put the stadium in the game? WTF is the difference between a game rendering and a computer generated one for PR and advertising?Comment

Re: NCAA Football 10 Blog: It's in the Details
As for this threads topic. Details are what make a game last. NFL 2K5 has been mentioned many times in this thread and for good reasons. The fantastic presentation and the fact that a plethora of ppl still play that game are not coincidences. I still say that no one in the EA office has been to a big time college football game. Either that or they just flat out dont have the talent to translate that atmosphere into a video game. The games up to this point are just so horribly bland, its just amusing. EA needs a complete and major overhaul of the presentation for this game to be worth more than just a 60 dollar coaster. Now, with that said, im happy with EA's focus to "details". Its seems as tho they might finally be waking up to what helps make a great game. C'mon EA, hit us with some fantastic presentation and no one will mention NFL 2K5 anymore. I promise.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 10 Blog: It's in the Details
OMT stated that they can not use computer renderings of the stadium and has to have actuall high detailed photos of the stadium. And since the stadium will not be 100% finished until the game is already out unfortuneately it will not be in the game. I do not know why but Im sure their is a good reason that they can not use the computer.
But without the stadium being done, we'd have to GUESS on what it will look like. 99.99% chance we'd be wrong and have to re-texture it again next year. Considering we are still adding authentic stadiums, I wasn't going to prioritize Minnesota's stadium twice over others. Sorry.
We are putting Minnesota in the generic bowl stadium this year, with Minneosta's field art. Next year we'll do the real stadium.Comment

We have to use computers... you need them to do 3D art for video games.

For some reason the socks almost look too white or something. They just don't look fitting. It would be cool to have an option to select sock color. I think the problem may be that they actually need to cut off at the middle of the calf, instead of at the kneeComment

but some teams were knee highs when it gets cold which adds another realistic feature when plyin your dynasty, ppl wear crews to, I wish EA would jus think about evrything when puttin stuff like that inComment

Next year we'll do the real stadium. So we are still missing 10-15 stadiums and now we are adding another generic one to the game?!? Okay well I guess the majority has spoken but I still think the option of using the Metrodome should be in the game for the simple fact that it's a REAL stadium.
OMT, are you at liberty to say how many "new" stadiums will make the game this year?Roar you Lions roar!Comment
