    Franchise Progress Thread

How bout a thread to discuss things going on in your franchise. NBA 2k has one and i like reading it. Thought it'd be useful for people who don't want to put all the time into a dynasty page.

Sounds like a good idea to me. Just started my Marlins franchise and will post in here from time to time. Lost the opener to the 'Nats 9-8. Cody Ross did have 2 HR's though.

I'm 0-2 in my Royals franchise. Been very frustrating losses 5-3 and 5-4. The White Sox have hit me pretty well and i'm struggling to score.

Make that 0-3. Pisses me off. Up 3-1 in the bottom of the 8th with 2 outs back to back Thome and Konerko hr's. Sox win in the 9th.

New to these boards - so I figured this would be a good thread to join in. Just started a franchise with the Yankees, 1-1 currently. Playing on All-Star with with all aides off (strike zone, guess pitch, etc.)

Lost the first to the O's 2-1 - was tied 1-1 with two outs in bottom of the 9th and a runner on 3rd. Breaking ball gets too low and the game winning run scores on the passball.

          Won the second game 2-1.

Pitching has been solid, still trying to get the offense going.

Now 1-4 with my Marlins. Lost 11-1 and 7-0 in the 2 and 3 games of the opening series . The Marlins bullpen might be the worst thing I've ever seen in a baseball game. So I signed Will Ohman to a 2-year/ $6 mil contract and came out and won against the Mets 4-2. Dropped the second game 2-1 in 13 innings. So a 1-4 start for the fish.

Sidenote: There has only been a total of 7 home runs for both teams combined through the first 5 games. I love it!

I am 1-2 in my dodgers franchise. I had a come from behind victory in the opener as i was down 3-1 going into the ninth. Ethier hit a 2 run home run to tie the game and then Martin hit a 3 run home run and then Broxton shut them down to get the save. However in the 3rd game I took the lead in the top of the 9th with a home run by casey blake. Except this time Broxton blew the save in the bottom half as Scott Hairston hit a walk off grand slam. Very depressing.

6-6 with the Angels on Veteran, I don't have much power only 7 HRs so far. I got swept by Boston easily, then I went onto sweep the Twins which felt good. Abreu has been my best hitter hittin .367 1 HR and 10 RBi's, including a walk off three run HR in the 13th inning in the opener.

                    Good thread.

I'm 10-3 and lost 3 straight, my bullpen has been cold lately so I signed Pedro Martinez to a one year deal and signed Dennys Reyes and Joe Beimel to 2 year deals, I also brought in Ben Sheets before I started the regular season.

Jason Schmidt has been hot his frist two starts. 2-0 1.84 ERA. Cory Wade was money off the bullpen with a 1.18 ERA and 13 strikouts but in my last game he blew a 1 run lead and gave up 4 runs in the 8th to give the Astros a 3 run win to open up our 3 game series. Matt Kemp is BEASTING with .402 avg 5 HRs and 20 RBI's. I got a 4 game lead in the NL West.

There is an entire forum for this:

                        http://www.operationsports.com/forums/dynasty-hq/

Don't get me wrong, it doesn't bother me, but there are many that frequent that forum who religiously follow others franchises and dynasties.

Playing as the Dodgers on Default All Star.

Been a struggle the first three games I lost close games. Today I broke out though and slammed the White sox for 12 runs and beat them 12-4.

Been playing it like a real spring training. The starter goes 3 innings and then I change pitchers every inning after that. I take out starters after a few AB's and get a look at some younger guys. Trying to see who I will keep up and who will get sent down. I don't get too anal about keeping my roster exact through the season so I want to pick the guys that I can play well with.

I also signed Manny today to a 4 year offer , he wouldn't take 2 lol. So I have him now and it helps.

2-0 so far in Manage Only Mode with the Brewers. (I randomly selected a team to control this year).

Game one I came from behind in the 9th off of Giants Closer Brian Wilson.

Game two, Giants starter Matt Cain dominated me for about 5 innings then lost control in the 6th and I ended up winning the game 4-1.

I put together a little dynasty site. It's kind of cluttered and a work in progress.

Hell of a rubber game @ Astros. Gave up a 2 run lead in the first like always, and 2 run lead turned into a 6 run lead going into the 4th. Manny starts off with a HR in the 5th, made a nice run to tie the game at 6-6, then Kemp came through with a 2 run HR to make it 8-6 in the 8th. From there I had to leave for work, I love the save in-game feature. It's 8-6 Dodgers bottom of the 8th.
