PS3 Franchise Starter UP TO DATE 3-7-2009

I have all the games simulated accurately. So the steelers won the super bowl and played the cardinals. And all the proper teams made the playoffs.

The current problems are players retiring that I can't switch positions to make the come back. So marvin harrison, terrell owens, rodney harrison, jeff garcia, brian dawkins, and like 20 others retired.

The other issue is, I don't have the draft positions correct. Since teams had the same record. The positions did not come out correctly and I haven't fixed all of them. But for those of you, here is a sample.

Tell me what you think and I hope you enjoy.

Awesome man! And it really sucks bout the retiring players things. It would be nice if EA put back the "Create-A-Player" feature back into the Franchise Mode as it would be an easy "fix" for that problem.

Sidenizzle - Which draft class did you use? Berta's?

Just extract the PS3 folder onto your computer. Then copy it from your computer onto your flash drive. Then go into Game Save Data, and copy it from the USB stick to the PS3. That's it.

I don't see anything to extract or a PS3 folder. All i have is a file called
              Madden2010.rar

I put that on my flash drive but the PS3 doesn't see it.

KCroyalsfan22, you have to download a file that unzips rar files. Once that is unzipped, it will open the folders.

The first folder should be PS3, when you click on it, it should be savedata, then it should open up to madden itself.

Unzip the file, and once it shows up as PS3 folder, then drag that over to your flash drive and then the PS3 will recognize the file. You copy it then and you are good to go.

Here is the download for the RAR program
WinRAR is a Windows data compression tool that focuses on the RAR and ZIP data compression formats for all Windows users. Supports RAR, ZIP, CAB, ARJ, LZH, TAR, GZip, UUE, ISO, BZIP2, Z and 7-Zip

I can gurantee the chiefs accuracy minus jon mcgraw getting resigned and the pick up of cj davis and darrell robinson the 3-4 OLB. I put matt cassel as #10 because it was his number at USC and high school. We both know #16 will not be taken.

When loading this franchise, is there anyway to only play as one team? It's AMAZING work you've done, but I don't want to control all 32 teams.

                    Hey bro,
Excellent work with this file. I like the fact that you have all 32 teams user controlled. It will allow for roster modification even after the draft. One option for filling in "missing players" like T.O. and Harrison could be to release Hall of Fame players and modify their info to replicate the missing retirees. Granted they would be rookies and only in their 20s, but the point of this franchise is just to hold us over until Madden 10 is released, right?

Excellent work. I just tried this franchise out last night and everything is on point. I only wish the first draft class would've been more accurate. Crabtree and many of the other top prospects for this draft end up going in the 3rd and 4th rounds and aren't very good. Stafford is the only player who ends up being as good as projected in real life.

                      Great work overall though.

Interesting that you mention the draft classes. I am also using berta's draft classes - which are by far better than any classes I tried previously so props clearly! - for my own franchise starter with overall relatively good results although I have to agree that some variations are a bit annoying if we were to stick to some sort of realistic mock draft.

Now we know that prospects will come somewhat differently on each load (I did my self a few attempts when I started the franchise to get sth reasonable), so it would be interesting to know how they are playing out for others. Below I add an evaluation of how the 09 class came out for me benchmarked against a rating range proposal I posted in another thread including draft range, rating range I would like to see and finally how the draft class load in my franchise starter compares to the rating range (not draft position), ie "fine" is within range, "acceptable" slightly outside range and "too low/too high" denotes a substanital deviation (e.g. 5+ points).
I think from there the first thing to mention is that virtually all of the right prospects come out which is great. The biggest drawbacks or deviations, however, are probably some of the very top prospects coming out rather low, I am thinking first and foremost of A Curry, J Smith, M Oher, J Freeman (which came out very low) but then also E Monroe, B Raji, B Orakpo, V Davis. Others from the list below are coming out somewhat high which I don't mind nearly as much (e.g. M Jenkins, P Harvin, A Smith) and then again there are some not on the list below which also come out rather high again not that much of an issue as the "too low ones" but annoying if , those include primarily a number of QBs (e.g. C Painter, G Harrel, T Brandstater, etc.) and HBs (S Johnson, I Johnson, etc.) and a few others (e.g CB V Harris, CB N Harris)

Just some food for thought as we move along to refining all those franchise starters as draft approaches with any comments on ranges etc. obviously welcome ...

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to undo the user control for all of the teams while keeping user control for just one team after the 2nd season is started on this franchise starter file?

I like the ability to maintain the offseason things that has actually happened with the all user controlled setting but after the season starts, I just want to control one team.
