    Official Pitch Repertoire Thread

    I want to first commend SCEA for already cleaning up some of the pitcher's repertoires this year, most are dead on. Like last year some pitchers are missing pitches or pitches are out of order. They fixed some pitchers last year so I'd assume they'll do it again. Best to get all of them here and organized. Only doing pitchers on the current 25 Man roster and verifying pitches thrown according to both Fangraph and Pitch F/X, both showing frequency and velocity (as well as common knowledge). Add yours below (please do not nitpick velocities, just missing or wrong pitches)

    Yankees
    Joba Chamberlain - 2 Seam Fastball (93MPH), Changeup (84MPH)
    Phil Hughes - Knuckle Curve (75MPH), Cutter (89MPH)
    Chien-Ming Wang - Sinker, 4 Seam Fastball

    Rays
    Brian Shouse - Sinker (82MPH), Changeup (76MH)

      I've only gone through the Yankees and Rays, I will edit in anyone elses. If you could link their fangraphs page I can verify quicker and add it to the list.

      They had Joba's repertoire right last year, and at first they had Wang's sinker and 4seam fastball backwards but it was changed later. Hughes curveball was right at first but for some reason they changed it to a 12-6 curve. Hughes definitely throws a knuckle curve and this year he is throwing it with more power. Everyone else on the Yankees is pretty much correct


      Shouse does not throw a 92 MPH 4 seam fastball. He throws about 82 MPH and his main pitch is a sinker. Everyone else on the rays is also pretty much correct.

          sounds good, only problem with those sites is that they don't differentiate between 2 seam and 4 seam fastballs.

              Thanks, I thought the same, that's why I added common knowledge as one of the possible sources. I'll leave it up to the OS community to fill in the blanks for players they are most familiar with. I don't know when SCEA gets around to editing this stuff but it should be helpful for some who want to start a franchise without waiting.

                  Get Lindy's baseball preview magazine and also use the websie 60ft6in. It's a lot easier and more information is availible.

                      That's a good site, but the two I listed use tracking data to determine actual pitch speed and type. Though pitch f/x uses vector information and occasionally registers the wrong pitch type, they both do a pretty thorough job.

                          The bornybits excludes pitches on people and isn't discriptive enought for my liking. If it's working for you keep it up though.

                              Fangraphs covers everyone and every pitch, Pitch F/x isn't used everywhere so the data is limited, but does track pitch types and velocities pretty well. Both only show actual pitches thrown instead of an estimate, which is useful. Anyone can use whatever source they'd like, asd long as it's correct

                                  I used F/X last year. Straight from mlb.com. It was inaccurate for me because as you said before it gets confused on pitch types sometimes because the breaks are similar.
