    Few Questions from new player

    1. I'm trying to change Ngata from DE to DT for the Ravens, but when i change him to DT it won't let me keep his real jersey #. Any clue why? It's doing that for some other guys i'm trying to change on the d-line as well.

    2. The patch didn't fix the 2-minute drill problem?

    3. What kind of roster breakdown do you use to maintain the roster size limits?

I think the game restricts you on what number certain postitions can have. It does not seem like it is the same as the real NFL rules.

Well for the first one I am not exactly sure why its trying to change the number. Can you tell me what number that is being changed to? As far as other players I hope this explains it for you:

All players must wear numerals on their jerseys in accordance with Rule 5, Section 3, Article 3c (see NOTE 1), and such numerals must be by playing position as follows: quarterbacks, punters, and placekickers, 1-19 (and 10-19 for wide receivers if 80-89 are all otherwise assigned); running backs and defensive backs, 20-49; centers, 50-59 (60-79 if 50-59 unavailable); offensive guards and tackles, 60-79; wide receivers and tight ends, 80-89; defensive lineman, 60-79 (90-99 if 60-79 unavailable); and linebackers 50-59 (90-99 if 50-59 unavailable).

If a player changes his position during his playing career in the NFL and such change moves him out of a category specified above, he must be issued an appropriate new jersey number.

Any request to wear a number for a special position not specified above (e.g., H-back) must be made to the Commissioner.
Now as far as I know Ngata wears #92 and that is with in the DT-DE range. Perhaps you have far too many Defensive lineman numbers being used? Its provably trying to give it another one for that reason. More details?

Thanks for the reply. No I double checked all the other lineman, just seems odd that i can use his real # if i list him as a d-end but not as a DT. It won't allow me to change it to any number in the 90's. Minor inconvenience, maybe I'll fiddle with change the other linemans numbers temporarily if that'll do anything, otherwise I'll survive.

Also what's up with the injuries? I know my trainer isn't the best but half of my starters are hurt and i'm only in week 4. I started trying to use the quick-sub to sub out fatigued players but when you can only has 45 players on the roster and 4 of your d-lineman are hurt but not IR worthy, there's not much you can do for subbing. Does having a first rate trainer alleviate a lot of that? Otherwise I'm going to have to cut quite a few starters because they don't survive a game.

As far as the 2-minute drill, what plays work best for defense since you apparently can't change the defensive plays at all when on hurry-up?

Hummmmm.....that is weird do you by any chance happen to go between the OLBs position before you end up with the DT position before you select it? Do you have the lastest update? May be you need to download it. Even if it does change his number you can go and edit it again, you just have to make sure that no other player received #92 on your team (for what ever reason).

injuries happen a ton in this game.

i would reccomend quick subbing the DL on your own, manually, once they get below an 80 fatigue. the rest let the CPU sub, since DL is where the game seems to give the most injuries too

yeah i've had that problem too with the numbers. Only fix I know of is if you go into rosters before you start your franchise, and sign a bunch of DT's have them take up all the available 60's-70's numbers available then move him to DT, and you should be able to select the 90's sequence of numbers. Then just cut all the other DT's you signed. Time consuming yes, but if you want to have legit numbers on your guys its worth the time.
