    Jersey Numbers

If you sign, call up, or trade for a player will that players number change automatically if someone on the team already has that number or does the game allow duplicate numbers? I hope this game does not allow duplicate numbers.

        Re: Jersey Numbers

I had duplicate numbers on my team for one spring training game. I made myself as #3 and there were 2 of us for a game. the next game though I was #10 so it was just a small glitch I guess.

me and my coach had the same number, but when I got called up to AAA and there was already a #9, I got changed to #10.

are there retired numbers in this game (were they on 08)?

and i dont mean hanging at the stadium, i mean like if you wanted to choose 42 could you?

No, you are not able to choose retired numbers. I was playing as the Giants and I gave somebody number 30, and it was changed to 31 because it is Cepeda's retired number.

You cannot give anyone number 42. If you go into the player edit screen and change numbers it will skip from 41 to 43.
