Agreed. I like that this game is trying something different. Is it perfect? No. But it's fresh and changes the way you've typically played a wrestling game. I never came close to losing a 1-on-1 match in the SvR series, even on the highest difficulty. That's not fun to me. This game might not be that challenging, either, but at least they make you work for the victory and try new things along the way.

The nostalgia factor is great and the pre-match video packages are going to be awesome if the Rock-Austin one from the Demo is any indication.

I know I'm overreacting and I get to finally play the demo tomorrow( I hope) but there was a sequence that really bothered me in that Hogan had a sleeper hold on Bossman and then it just cuts out and goes to the next scene where Bossman's on the ground, Hogan's standing over him and I have no clue what happened. They could at least show Bossman getting out of the sleeper. It just seems to me that those badly edited sequences will take you right out of the immersion factor of any fighting game. The roving camera angles don't help either.

I actually applaud that's it's more arcady and unlike SVR becausee I use to love playing years back at the arcade with the WWF game but there was no cutscenes and when you did any move it would happen as you pulled it off. So if LOW wants to be arcade like they should keep it in that vein totally by seeing the move immediately as you pull it off.

Trust me I really want to like this game and I hope I enjoy it tomorrow. I don't care about weight detection or the fact that Andre can get picked up by anyone or that guys don't sell moves as long as they give us a tightly presented package where the game stays with a flow that the controls scheme was designed for. What I saw was something that seemed disjointed.

You mean like SvR? Are you serious?

Its a wrestling game with signature moves pulled via quick-time events. I personally think that this is awesome. It is not supposed to play in real time like SvR, etc. It is different, but not broken

Well I can tell you now, RTE moves are disjointed. It's one of the three or four flaws that I've found with this game. Anyone who enjoys it will have to be able to look past it.

I can look past it because I find the RTE in general to be very fun, even in it's disjointed form, it gives the matches more flow than I've ever felt in SVR. It's also a fun little challenge.

I'm hoping that the game doesn't lag at all in the online world, but RTE could make online wrestling quite fun.

I haven't played a wrestling game since probably the PlayStation 1 days, but I enjoyed this. Definitely brought back some memories of my wrestling-watching days and I enjoyed the presentation and graphics especially... they got the atmosphere nailed IMO.

Kicked the crap out of Hogan with my dude Andre, but that was the only victory I've had -- the Rock kept catching me in his special and pinning me, even after I was beating him down for most of the match trying to complete all the objectives. The controls are definitely intimidating/confusing at first, but I got the hang of it after a while and didn't mind them. The grapple system is interesting -- it is hard to tell when that will be engaged vs. the button-mash submission moves, but I'm sure that would get easier to detect as you play the game more. I like the idea that most moves can be countered and re-countered via the system, and it definitely adds a bit of fast-twitch skill to the whole equation.

Pretty fun... if I still had GameFly, I'd definitely check it out just to see all the old wrestlers and I thought the "recreate" idea was cool.

Re: WWE Legends of WrestleMania Demo Available, Impressions Here

One thing I really like is the manager interactions. I was playing as Hulk against Andre and, after hitting the Big Leg Drop of Doom, went to pin Andre but he was close to the ropes and Heenan pulled his leg onto the rope (not sure if Heenan could lift his leg IRL but it's a videogame so I'll roll with it) to break the count. A few seconds later, Andre chopped me down and Heenan called him over for a quick consult which helped give him an energy boost.

There might be instances where the interaction is overdone, but so far, I'm liking the way it's handled in the game.

I busted Andre open, too, and the blood looked good. Total match time was around 7 min. After the consult, it was very back-and-forth.

Lordy it's taken about 30 minutes to download 12% of the demo. I want to play it and give my impressions finally but at this rate I won't be able to until Saturday.

Not a big fan of the demo and I hated the camera angle. I started liking the game outside the ring when the camera zoomed out, but I can't play with the default in ring camera.

Hopefully there will be alternate camera angles in the retail version.

I hope that when the actual game comes out that you can pick whether the wrestler can be a face or a heel when you go to the selection screen.

Finally played the demo last nite for a few hours and I admit after getting used to the controls and getting to know what the hell I was doing I liked it alot.

                            Pros
-The kicking out of a pin is great and always can keep you in a match.
-The taunts are very well done and adds strategy to it which hasn't been done in a wrestling game before that I've played.
-Graphics and sound is good, the cutscenes and the camera angles didn't distract me as much as I thought it would. The blood scenes were cool.
-There's alot of moves to do and it was more fun as I learned more moves and got comfortable. You can pull off enough stuff to keep me happy.
-the button prompts, which I thought I would hate, are actually well done and quick enough that it would be very difficult to master in a higher skill level, which I hope they have.
-There was times where I was kicking *** and made one wrong move and payed for it by losing which makes it unpredictable and therefore fun.

                            CONS

-The matches were too short. Once I got comfortable, I could win any match in less than 5 minutes so hopefully there are higher skill levels that will give me some epic matches. well at least over 10 minutes long.
-It seemed pretty easy once you knew what you were doing. I really hope that was the easy skill level because it will get old fast if it's not much harder than that. I never felt after an hour that I could lose unless I wanted to by punishing my opponent just for fun but I felt I could pin him any time I wanted and I usually could. Sometimes I would get suprised and lose but that was my fault because I wanted to see how long the match could go and wasn't ready to end it yet.
-the submissions are weird when you are on the receiving end. Once Andre got me in the neck pinch\massage submission or the Rock in Boston crab there wasn't any way to get out of it unless I'm missing somethingand you give up pretty quickly. They should incorporate the same thing they do with getting out of pin. Would be much more fun.

I still think it's worth a purchase if it does have multiple skill levels. Online would be really fun because you can't really cheat. There better not be any type of lag or it will be ruined and online is where you get long term value out of this.

I was happy with it and it was the only wrestling game I've played that got deeper and more strategic the longer I played so that's a 1st for me.
