The screenshot looks great but like most people have said it's just a screenshot. I'll get more excited when they start releasing more and see some videos of actual gameplay.

Re: Madden NFL 10 Screenshot (Peter Moore Blog)
I am sure this was answered, but they are for Captain. Two seasons ago the NFL wants players who have a lot of character to be team leaders and role models to not only kids, but the rookies and young players on thier teams. This is to try and cut down on the Adam Jones's of the world. At least that is my understanding from Fox.
What i don't understand is the stars under the C. some players have more than others, but some on the same team have the same amount. I thought it was for which number captain you were, but when players on the same team have the same number of stars... I dunno.Comment

Based on comparison shots, can we conclude that the problem with white-ish night grass has been eliminated?
Madden 09

Madden 2010

... I hope so. That white-ish grass was an eyesore.
The padding definition looks sharper. The night time effects look more natural; Last year they looked overdone.Last edited by TheWatcher; 03-23-2009, 07:52 PM.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 10 Screenshot (Peter Moore Blog)
With that said, I think we're making a fuss out of small issue. I just fiddled around with the Madden 09 demo and while the football was still a little large, it was no where near the behomoth the ball was in Madden 08. So if the ball is even smaller than it was last year (which wasn't a big distraction in 09 IMO), I think it's ok.
Call me crazy, but I think the angle in which the screenshot is presented makes the ball appear larger than what it might possibly be.Comment

Is it just me, or does it look much more realistic the way that the linemen have their hands pressed against the defender, as if they are actually using a hand punch to knock them off balance. Maybe it's just wishful thinking, but it really appears more like the linemen are trying to use their hands to acquire leverage than it has in previous years.
I just hope those aren't all or nothing animations like in the past. I would read through the thread... but 50 pages... are you serious? I skimmed, that's the best I can do.Comment

Re: New Blog and Picture!!
Gotta say, at first glance I double-taked at the picture. I was like "wait...is THAt the screenshot?" Impressive.
First thing that jumped out to me (aside from the obvious ref and towel) was that there seemed to be a pocket formed there. Whether or not that plays out properly over the course of a game is a different story, but the "scene" looks much more realistic in terms of how the play is developed to that point (hence the double-take).
Also, the player builds look much sharper and better proportioned. It stands out even more to me in the comparision above.
Interested to see what's broken down in a blog about this (meaning the hints of details we see vs the actual depth of those details).
Looks good, overall

Re: New Blog and Picture!!
Haha nice is the raiders secondary color silver? You guys were prolly right that their team color should be black, but since black and white are already in the game it was pointless to not have silver as a selectable color.
Haha Ian I just showed my g/f the M10 screen, and she glanced said "cool" and turned away, then I said "look that is Madden 10" She started laughing saying she thought it was a normal picture.Comment
