    Signature Shot Arc Types

    Hey guys,

In NBA LIVE 10, we have the ability to assign specific shot arc types to individual players with the goal to have every player in the NBA with their signature shot arc. If you have any feedback, video reference or recommendations on shot arcs for specific players, please post in this thread!

    Thanks guys,
    Marcus

Awesome. Nothing to contribute yet, but that's great news. Signature styles to a new level, hopefully.

A couple note for some Lakers:
Kobe Bryant, not quite a line-drive shot, but doesn't have much arc
Pau Gasol and Derek Fisher, both soot a very high arcing shot.

So..do you guys have all the signature shots down for players? I mean arc is cool but if Steven Jackson has a high arc but his shot is still generic or wrong, whats the point?

I take it this will go further than just assigning HIGHARC to a player in the aiact in Live PC?

Aside from Lebron having a high arc, I never paid any attention to this. I'll watch for it though.

                  Re: Signature Shot Arc Types

Since I watch all the Nuggets games, I'll give my best shot at all of their players:

Melo -- Average-to-high... he sometimes elevates a ton (when he's healthy and feeling well) and the shot is average, other times he gets kinda flat-footed and has to arc the shot higher. His release is especially high on fadeaways/turnarounds, especially from the block.

                  Chauncey -- Average

JR Smith -- Kind of similar to Melo in that it varies -- when he's bombing threes at a high rate, his arc seems lower because he's elevating a lot on his shot. His mid-range shots tend to be a higher release than the threes.. he uses more arm on those it seems.

Nene -- nice average shot, a little towards the high side

K-Mart -- flat as a pancake flick-type shot.. never any kind of arc

                  Kleiza -- flat shot

Anthony Carter -- high-archer most of the time, especially his free throw

Birdman -- good arc and elevation on the jumper

Balkman -- heh, what jumper? Tends to be flat...

Petro -- good arc for a big man shot, nothing crazy though.

Haven't seen Weems or Hart play enough to know where to put them, but that's about the best I can do for the Nugs.

                    Re: Signature Shot Arc Types

Monta has a pretty flat jumper but he jumps really high when he shoots so it doesnt appear flat.

S-jax - has a pretty high arc, not as high as fisher tho

                    Randolph - shoots a flat/normal

                    B-wright - normal/high

                    Belly - flat/normal

Buike - is normal, but as he gets tired it startes to flatten

Andris - doesnt shoot jumpers id imagine if he did theyd be flat tho

                    cj watson - normal/high

                    maggette = normal/flat

                    Morrow = wet (normal/high)

                    Kurz is high/normal

                    Davidson - high/normal

                    Turiaf - high/normal

I remember some crazy high arcs shots by Radmanovic right now

Yes... add freakin Steve Novak, Eric Gordon, and Durant to that list... there should be a jumper called "wet" that these guys all have. Beautiful releases/arc for all of them.

Heh @ Beans.. yeah, he's got a mad flat jumper the few times I've seen him take it.
