This is open to users of all skill level. I consider myself an average
if not below average player, however, having gradually moved to more of
a manual control scheme, I find that my overall skill level has increased
and the quality of games is much more realistic. Online matches have yielded
more of a level palying field. Gamers who thrived with Man U with fully assisted
controls, and hyper aggresive settings find themselves frustrated with errant passes
and haveing to completely rethink how they paly the game. The trouble I have is finding
a suitable number of gamers who play ranked games with manual control set-up. This thread
is to invite fellow OS members who either play on manual or want to make the move to manual.
If there is enough interest we can also start up an all manual control league.

In the meantime, please feel free to share your Xbox Live Gamertag so we can get this going.

Sorry couldn't play last night. Busy packing up the condo as the
wife and I are moving out and into a new home. Still have to get
my FIFA kicks in somehome For now, let's play some manual
games when available.

Right now, I have everything on Semi except for though ball and through lobs, which are on manual. But I would enjoy a nice manual game with other players that are down. Looking forward to the league.

I am actually getting tired of playing fully assisted players. It is
night and day when you have a really good FIFA player try a
manual game for the first time. Their level of frustration is
priceless. I find the games far more realistic.

I am not on the 360, but I just started playing all manual the last few games and I set the speed to slow. What a difference. The game is much more realistic now. Goals are much more satisfying.

If anyone wants to start a league like this for the PS3 I am down.

If I end up with a PS3 before FIFA 10 is released, I might opt for
this. Not sure if I should make the switch for sporting games.

Regarding all manual, it's a tough sell to friends who have played
exclusively on assisted. Playing as TFC, I managed to beat some
dude playing Brazil. You could tell he was on fully assist but he
was hard tackling all over the place. He eventually took a red
and I was able to score from an ackward angle using manual.
I could have scored a few more if I had assisted shooting but the
thrill of finally scoring after a couple of missed shots, especially
one on a chipped lob, the accomplishment can't be beat in most
sporting video games.

count me in too i hate playing kids who get like 2 chances on goal a game and score both times because they dont have to do anything but mash the shoot button!!

I was thinking about doing maybe an ALL MANUAL team play match - something like a 3v3 or 4v4 or more depending on if we are able to get some more manual players. What do ya guys think?

Well my move to Burlington is now complete, I am now set-up
with Internet, but of course my hard drive was acting up when
I unpacked the 360 the other day. Had to reformat so FIFA is
working for now. I'll try and be on tonight around 9, 10 EST,
perhaps we can set-up a match.

I'll play. I switched to all manual about 2 weeks ago, and I aint goin back. It's tough at first, but after a while it feels like this game was made to be played on manual.

and yes indeed, fifa was made to played on manual. Just a few hints: use regular A passing for regular shorts passes AND through balls. I NEVER use the y button. Works beautifully.......
