Looking at the box score, Blair only played 20 minutes and had 4 fouls.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Re: The Official 2009 "Running Commentary of Every Single Tourney Game" Thread
From what I remember, it was a tight game in the first half, and then Pitt had a small lead early in the second half. With about thirteen minutes left, Pitt went into one of their patented scoring droughts, driven by a series of 10 second possessions with one or two passes, followed by a 19 foot brick or a forced drive to the basket. That small lead was soon reversed to a 6-8 point Villanova lead. Villanova hit their foul shots at the end, and put Pitt away.
I have had a bad feeling about that game ever since that day. When Pitt goes into one of those droughts, the score of a game can shift big time. A 3 point lead can easily become a 10 point deficit, and a 3 point deficit can become 15. I have to give Villanova respect/credit. The way they have been playing lately (and all season for that matter) make the likely Pitt scoring drought a pivotal part of tomorrow's game. We can't afford too many of these drought, especially if Villanova is going down the court on the other end and making baskets.
Pitt had better show up to play tomorrow....Comment
