To me, the lack of scoring both makes and breaks soccer. Yes, every goal means something but so often, you're just sitting there waiting for something to happen. It can get frustrating unless it's a game with a lot of scoring chances and shots on goal. But you can feel the despair on the face of a player when he misses a good opportunity and they put their hands on their heads in shock and agony. You don't get many good chances in soccer and when you miss one, you really have that dreaded "Damn, I blew it" feeling.
