I wonder if EA is still doing any Mo-Cap.

I would like to see some stuff like this in Madden. I will note the times to watch for (starting at the beginning of the play).

*2:18-2:23 [what ever happened to the helmet jarring hits from the old past-gen Madden?]

*2:40-2:48 [... Wow.]

*3:11-3:17 [That's a nice diving catch.]

*3:58-4:06 [It's damn near impossible to get a catch in the corner of the endzone in Madden now. Hopefully they've worked on some jump ball situations and toe-drags.]

*4:28-4:37 [I almost never see catches off of deflected passes in Madden.]

*4:49-5:02 [WHAT?! GTFO.]

*5:22-5:30 [WHAT?! GTFO MORE.]

*7:31-7:39 [Where are these bobbled catches that I thought were supposed to be in Madden 09?]

**[All of the big hits. In this year's Madden, I think momentum needs to play a factor.]

The point of this was to point out that EA has implemented some of this stuff, but it's very rare. And usually, you only see the same animation over and over. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to see this stuff ALL the time. But it would be nice to have some more memorable moments.

There needs to be more variety in the catches. Diving catches are just as rare as the one handed catches in Madden. By no means should diving catches happen just as much as a one handed catch. There's still no real "Jump Ball" situations in Madden. That needs to be addressed greatly, as a lot of NFL teams try to use that fade into the corner of the endzone to their playmaker. ex. Randy Moss, Plaxico Burress, Larry Fitzgerald, Calvin Johnson, etc.

Discuss.
