What IS wrong with Franchise's Presentation

I figure if there's a good time to start talking about this, it would be now. I know there are threads about this already, but I think we need to compile 1 big list of things that should be fixed or added. Remember to keep it realistic.

Here's my list of what is wrong with Franchise's Presentation:
    • A lot of statistic banners would be messed up after the first year into the Franchise.
    • The commentary was often messed up after the first year into the Franchise. [This one goes hand-in-hand with the banners]
    • There's no weekly round-up or anything interest to look at between games.
    • The mini-games for training EVERY week is extremely irritating, and half of them are damn near impossible to do on All-Madden. [Believe this is removed though]
    • Every game feels like it should the Super Bowl due to the camera flashes. [Being tuned]
    • The Super Bowl itself feels dull compared to how it should. Players need to show much more emotion. The intensity definitely needs to be turned up a notch. The crowd should be much louder, especially on big plays and TD's/turnovers.
    • The Super Bowl presentation is just terrible. This MUST be fixed. Also, the celebration should be more exciting. There's no pre-game, halftime or post-game show. And the Super Bowl post game show should consist of first awarding the MVP with his trophy, then the Team with the Lombardi Trophy.
    • The NFL Draft feels so boring. I'm not sure how they can make it more fun, but they need to.

    • Superbowl crowd should be loud but not as loud as the playoffs since its not a one sided fan affair.
    • I'd like to see the NFC and AFC championships awarded as well.
    • NFL Kickoff and NFL Playoff logos on the field for their respective games.

    • The Black Hole
    • The Terrible Towels
    • The Twelfth Man....

    NFL Draft
    • This has been covered at length

    Weekly Recaps
    • In 09 did you ever know what the playoff race was like in other divisions or even the other conference?
    • Brady Quinn passed for 634 yards and 7 TDs - but it isn't big news. Neither is ANYTHING else going on in your Franchise.
    • Did you sign a new Free Agent in the pre-season? Did you lose a key player in pre-season?

    BOTTOM LINE -

Presentation needs to MAKE EVERYTHING MATTER!!!!

    • Terrel Owens got released
    • Jay Cutler was traded
    • Kellen Winslow was traded

These things are HUGE... They should be HUGE in Franchise Mode.

If there's anything you'd like to add, please do. Post what needs to be fixed/added in bullets. Makes things easier to read.

    Discuss.
All of this, my main concerns are things that can immerse me in the atmosphere of my franchise, like a weekly show, or something where I DO feel I'm apart of a LEAGUE and not just playing game after game, Feels to much like a round robin tournament.

And the atmosphere in games, I don't want every game to be hyper or every play, I want it to be dynamic, based on how my team is doing, and alot of other situations...

Example...this lions crowd isn't going to be as loud as the steelers crowd until we start winning some games

Each game basically feels like a "Play Now" game. They don't feel tied together in any way. Pretty much everything you listed should help with that.

There is no lead up to the draft and recruiting free agents is non existent.

The franchise has no personality. Give teams, players, prospects, and coaches personality.

            Agree 100%

I think you also need out of town stats and scores.

In between plays and quarters in the game, they should go to a quick 30 second update show showing some highlights of other games.

-Superbowl needs to be a BIG deal.
-Commentators should talk about things that happened in previous games or what the current game means in terms of playoff races, etc.
-I would like to see picture in picture style highlights of other games while going through menus or simulating the week.
-Emotion... make the commentators and players actually care whats going on.

                Super Bowl
                Draft
                Playoff games

all need to be/feel like a huge deal. they are soooo dull the way it is now. there should be an extra type of build up for play off games and then even more for the super bowl. seriously, there are hours of pregame before the super bowl.

What you listed should "tie" the games together....hopefully!

Alot of what you mentioned would help. I know Ian mentioned he plays NFL2k5, and that game just sucked you into your own football world.

EA needs to do that, weekly show, highlights, game summaries, etc.

They should spend the $$, get more NFL announcers, and make it a STATE OF THE ART GAME , not "lets catch up to last generation features, or NFL2k5".

And for Gods sake, can we have a "Customizable Camera" (another part of sucking you into the game, ie NFL2k5 - you actually felt like you were on the field, with a nice zoom into the "lineplay".)
