Re: MLB 09 The Show Patch Announcement From the MLB Development Team
Dont know if they can fix this in a patch, but this issue has been in the last 2 years and KILLS several rallies for me. Ive only played 5 games in my season so far, this has occured in 2 games both of which I lost by 1 run.
Runner on 2nd, ground ball between 3rd baseman and Shortstop. Runner automatically retreats to 2nd base.. Fix this please!! by the time u press any button to advance, he doesnt turn around till hes almost at 2nd base, then his momentum has to shift, if u advance him to third he gets thrown out.
In both instances, i tried to advance after he retreated to 2nd base, and then realized i was better off retreating him cuz hes dead meat at 3rd. In both instances, less than 2 outs, next guy comes up and hits a flyball that would have been a sac fly, tying the game. Instead its an out, with no run scored. PISSES ME OFF. The runner should be freezing on this.Comment

Also a side note:
Cool thing that happened. I did the "Major League"
play a while back. Fast man on 2nd with 1 out. I stole 3rd and bunted. The 3rd baseman ran in and threw to 1st all the while I never stopped the runner and he rounded 3rd and scored on a very close play at the plate...

Re: MLB 09 The Show Patch Announcement From the MLB Development Team
I did not know that was a "Glitch" error or whatever...
It was a very close play at the plate with a fast runner so I don't see how anyone could do it with anybody...
Either way guess I won't do that anymore... lolLast edited by Skyboxer; 04-10-2009, 03:39 PM.Joshua:

I put (jk) in parenthesis. I think that means "just kidding", but I didn't know what "LOL" meant for years, so maybe it's something dirty, lol.Comment

Re: MLB 09 The Show Patch Announcement From the MLB Development Team
i live down here. they pack maybe 8k a night IF THAT
the stadium is a dump for baseball but fantastic for footbal, i hate the dolphins too.
im going saturday when the mets come down. ill post some pics.
it will be lucky to have 30k in the crowd.
theres a reason the new marlins ballpark opening for 2012, will have a CAPACITY of 35k.
joe robbie looks empty most of the time as the upper deck is solid orange. they should tarp it in black or something.
i wonder how many people went to the game on tuesday...lol
11k on tuesday
wait until the piurates come down or when the marlins slump. itll be 5k fans there. its pathetic.
AND when it starts getting humid and a 90% chance of rain every night and its 90 degrees = NOBODY GOES.
id melt out there,. thank god the mets always come down the 1st 2 weeks of the season every year (last year was opening day)Comment

Re: MLB 09 The Show Patch Announcement From the MLB Development Team
I never understood the decision to put a franchise in Miami. I mean, 130% humidity in August....feels like it's 1000 degrees, plus, like you said, 90% chance of thunderstorms everyday in August. On top of all this, most people that live down there are in to the Dolphins. I'm really surprised that they are pouring money into a new stadium.
They need a stadium in the worst way, they might actually get fans with the new stadium.NHL: Buffalo Sabres, Chicago Blackhawks
OHL: London Knights
MLB: Miami Marlins, Toronto Blue Jays
Frontier League baseball: London RippersComment

To me, the issue with baseball in Florida is that so much of the population consists of retired folks and families of retired folks from elsewhere in the country. A lot of baseball fans in Florida either grew up rooting for other teams or have parents or grandparents who have brought their allegiances with them. The only time they want to go see a game is when their team is visiting the Rays or Marlins. It was a little better in St. Petersburg last year because the Rays were a first place team, but that's how good they have to be just to draw average crowds. Not to mention that 16 teams have spring training homes in Florida.Comment

Re: MLB 09 The Show Patch Announcement From the MLB Development Team
Easy killer...LOL!! Its no knock on Miami as a city, but IMO, it was silly to put a team there. Yea....I dont think when Bud gave them the nod that he said, "hell yea....put them in Miami....it, after all, is one of the best cities in the World.Comment

Re: MLB 09 The Show Patch Announcement From the MLB Development Team
Honestly, when they get their new stadium you're going to see a completely different team. They have plenty of fans, its just that no one wants to go to them game b/c of weather (there is almost always a chance of rain during the summer), and location (Dolphin Stadium is not in a great area). The Marlins are always in the top 10 of TV viewership amongst MLB teams, so there are fans, they just don't want to go to a terrible stadium to see them playComment
