wow, they just had the nba all-star game... they are lucky in arizona... the weather is gonna be greeeeeat!

I wish they would pick Washington one of these days. The last time MLB held an all-star game in DC; Apollo 11 was still in orbit, Johnny Unitas and Wilt Chamberlain were still active players in their respective sports, Muhammad Ali was serving his suspension from boxing, Bert Blyleven, Mike Schmidt, George Brett, Robin Yount and Dave Winfield had yet to debut in MLB, Babe Ruth was still the all-time home run leader and only twelve players in MLB currently under contract had been born.

we had it here in 2001... perfect year too because we had a lot of all-stars and we tied the mlb record for wins that same year...

Man, I was hoping to see Cincinnati as the location, I figured after our new stadium opened in 2003 we would have one shortly after especially with the baseball history in Cincinnati.

Oh well, i love Arizona's stadium maybe 2012!

The Royals are vying for 2012. Odds on competition is likely Minnesota and their new ballpark. The Mets tried to get the ASG this year and 2011 and will try for 2013. I could see it being a three team race between the Mets/Reds/Marlins for the 2013 ASG.

Don't forget the Nationals and Phillies. They've yet to have an all-star game in their ballpark too.

The Royals are vying for 2012. Odds on competition is likely Minnesota and their new ballpark. The Mets tried to get the ASG this year and 2011 and will try for 2013. I could see it being a three team race between the Mets/Reds/Marlins for the 2013 ASG.

Out of that group I think the Mets would win it. But the Reds have had their stadium since 2003 and still havent had one, bit dissapointing.

They just had the AS @ Yankee Stadium. It shouldn't be in NYC, or any city, twice w/in 10 years.
