Re: Greg Paulus: Duke PG...and Michigan QB?
^^Eligibilty is exclusive to the sport and a college athlete has 5 years of eligibilty in total but only 4 years per sport. He used up 4 on basketball and has 1 left to use where he wants.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

Sweet. I hope this works out for him.
I'd love to see PSU and OSU linebackers teeing up on him for a year.Comment

I saw this last night but thought it was some late April Fools joke. I guess we will see, if anything it gives another qb for this year which we could definitely use.Comment

Re: Greg Paulus: Duke PG...and Michigan QB?
from the post in the College Basketball forum, I thought he was going to enter the NFL draft, but I guess he wants a year to show them he can't cut it. Why would Michigan want a QB for 1 year that hasn't played in 4 years?Comment

Re: Greg Paulus: Duke PG...and Michigan QB?
He is not entering the Draft because the Packers told him he needed some work. And if I am not mistaken isnt it too late to declare for the Draft?ND Season Ticket Holder since '72.Comment

Re: Greg Paulus: Duke PG...and Michigan QB?
Apparently the kid was legit in high school.
From ESPN:
Though Paulus, from Syracuse, N.Y., opted for the Blue Devils as a basketball player, he is not without some serious football credentials. He was offered a football scholarship by Notre Dame as well as the University of Miami, and was a former Gatorade football player of the year at Christian Brothers Academy.
...
Paulus, 6-foot-1, 180 pounds, was a four-time all-state player at Christian Brothers and a starter in the U.S. Army All-American game, and set six state passing records. Christian Brothers was 42-3 during his time there, and he had 11,763 career passing yards and 152 touchdown passes in 45 games.

Re: Greg Paulus: Duke PG...and Michigan QB?
The kid was legit in high school, but being so far removed from football, I don't see this happening for him. Why would Rodriguez play Paulus knowing his experience level at D1 while also knowing he only has one year of eligibility? There is no way Forcier or Robinson will take a back seat when this year is critical to their development. If Paulus starts it will essentially be THREE YEARS IN A ROW starting an inexperienced quarterback. Why take a chance?Comment

He wouldn't be coming in to start, or even play. He'd be coming in to give them one more mobile body at QB in practice.Comment

Re: Greg Paulus: Duke PG...and Michigan QB?
Why would he burn his last year of eligibility if he wasn't going to play? If the Packers told him he needed work, playing a reserve on a spread option team wouldn't be the type of work he needs.
Whatever he ends up doing, I guarantee its not with the intent of being a tackling dummy.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment
