Did receivers catch in stride like last gen maddens and apf? Or is it like its always been in next gen, they slow down a bit when making a catch, and or jumped up in the air to make a catch when it was not necessary?

    Are there more catch animations?

Love what I saw except for one addition that made me a bit upset (I wont go into what or why so don't ask, Ian got a good laugh at me for it though on Thursday). There still needs to be more, I don't know how much more equipment I pushed for exactly but I asked for a lot of the ncaa stuff to be ported over.

Overall I think Phil said it best in his radio show the stuff that doesn't get in this year has an OUTSTANDING chance of getting in next year.

BTW I only looked at equipment for maybe 2-3 hours not 15 silly Dave.

Did anyone test out the chargers any. I know LT is not an elite speed in the game anymore right now but, did Darren Sproles feel like the lightest player in the game compared to any other player.

Could you tell the wieght difference in between them??? thats if anyone played with the chargers???

Just to put it out there, I personally had success with the fatigue slider. I didn't study it intently, but when maxing it out, I noticed players getting fatigued across the board. But I believe Dave may have had an issue early on so it'll likely get a second look which will only help. But there's comfort in knowing the slider works knowing EA's history with functioning sliders.

Are you able to say whether the fatigue happened during an actual play or is it still play by play? Because fatigue doesn't just happen after a play (in Madden and NCAA now you can sprint the entire play without getting tired) it happens during the play. As long as that is addressed this year then fatigue should be fine. If you can answer that in any way that will be great.

How did your Cowboys play without TO?

Good to know sliders function well btw

Not sure if this can or has been discussed but have screen plays been fixed for the better? Can't really say much for WR Screen because I've never come across while playing '09 but the HB screen blocking was...off. (HB basically stopping in a spot where he has no blockers helping him)

Curious if anyone played with the Falcons? I wanna know how Turner felt running.

I'm going to answer your question with a counter question . What do you have in mind here as far as being able to identify a player getting fatigued during the play? Football plays are only so long to begin with. Sometimes in real life, you might be able to tell when a player is getting gassed towards the end of a really long run or something to the likes of that (Harrison's Super Bowl return TD comes to mind). But other than that, I'm not sure you can always tell.

I did pretty well with them. Our receiving core isn't rated too high across the board now (talking WRs, not Witten) but I was able to manage. If I can nudge Donny Moore to boost Miles Austin's speed, I should be good to go next year .

Damn...then i'll just have to hope that your not the only one who played with the chargers. I wonder if Jamal Williams gave people trouble running up the middle. I just wonder if the team played good as a whole team and not just offense or defense???

If the any of the 8 gamers who played the game in its alpha state could elaborate on this it would be appreciated.

I know for a fact that screen plays were brought up to the team. I forget exactly what the issue was, but I remember BezO presenting an issue to the team regarding the functionality of the play.

I didn't run with the Falcons, but I think someone sitting behind me at the event did. Maybe they'll comment.

Issue was the catch animation often pulled the back toward the QB, and hence toward the defenders, so no matter how well the screen was set up, you were tackled the moment you got the ball. I noted that one too.

I played against them, never with them.
There are two types of people on OS: Those who disagree with me, and those who agree.

The first kind is wrong. The second is superfluous.

                              True.

Lets say you are on your own 20 and you are playing with a running back with say 90spd (Madden 10 ratings ofcourse) and 85stamina. If you happen to break 2 tackles and then go into a dead sprint, or even having to weave around defenders for an 80 yard score, will your RB be affected by fatigue so that he might not even score because he was tired from all the zig zagging? What I am saying is, if your player goes through hell to get a big gain, will he lose energy and run slower as he begins to break tackles and run in and out of defenders?

Sweet. Thanks for that one. I brought that up earlier too, and had the exact same problems. You HAVE to have a screen pass that works in a football game. It is too important of a blitz breaking play to not have in your arsenal.
