What's the first thing you do in a new Madden game?

I usually run a quick "PLAY NOW" just to get a feel for the full game. I get so excited that I don't even finish the play now (quit around halftime) and start my franchise lol!

I plan on going to "play now' and completely dismantle the Jets and then the Dolphins in blow out wins. After I get that out of my system I will jump on to the brand spankin' new franchise mode.

I usually go through the rosters and check out the teams and the player ratings. Then I fumble around with the settings and check out what new features or modes are in the game. After a five to ten minutes of doing this I start a quick play game....Cowboys (me) and an NFC East rival.

I'm in the franchise mode off the top. I literally dont touch any other modes. Its almost time for the next Madden and I can honestly say there are options on the menu screen that still haven't went into yet. Crazy, lol.

Wow. I take it franchise is crucial for you ? I hope they improve the mode for you next year lol!

Check Rosters, check the new features, and options, than start a franchise. I have never played a play now game, i cant play a game that means nothing.

The playoffs have felt like they mean nothing so bad that i either simulate the playoffs, or i set the clock between 2-4 mins so the game will end sooner.

I like to start a quick exhibition game with the Buccaneers at Tampa during the day. This usually gives me a great representation of what I can expect graphics-wise in Madden.

I first check the rosters. I look at the new "high" profile players that I didnt even know about from last year and go wow ok... Followed quickly into a franchise mode that I simplely play a game then mess around and see whats all going on. I will check out all the gadgets and gizmos the are new until I simulate to the end and see what the new franchise is like. Afterwards, I restart my franchise and play serious because I have a general idea of everything happening.

PRACTICE MODE!!

I spend tons of time in there which is why I really hope that practice mode evolves a bit, because the NG practice mode leaves a lot to be desired.
