What's up everyone! This is Zihin ! Hope everything is going great for all. Well, I'm not going to bore you with a lot of text to read, lol. The NBA 2K9 Video Tutorials are here and almost finished with release of all videos. Each video will be uploaded individually (which can take a while in itself) instead of a bulk release. Just watched the Oop one. Great vid man. 2 things I liked about your vids
1) Even though their 6-10 minutes long, they dont bore me and I watch the whole thing
2) Im not a noob at this game, and there are somethings I find new in your vids.

Hey Zihin, I have a question for you - have you ever played the PS3 version? I ask because last year I took a lot of your defensive tips on 2K8 to heart, and have develped pretty decent defense with a similar awareness as yourself, just usually without the execution

But my problem is, on the PS3 when I pull L2 to square up that doesn't happen, he just stays in a protective stance with the ball. So whenever I try to do an alley-oop they always just pass it clear across the court to whoever's on the perimeter.

I've felt for a long time like the PS3 is unfairly gimped and this will make me more frustrated if it just isn't possible to square up LOL. I can tap L2 and do a ball fake that gets be square, but I can't just square up like you do manually. Add this to the list of things like the unexplainable half-second lag online and I really wish I had an Xbox only for this game, a lowly sports title that should be so easy to port.

Hey Zinn do you have a vid on shooting the jumpshot? Really need help there before I can enjoy this game. All your vids are very informative can't wait to learn them all and put them into my strategy.

Just go into practice mode and get familiar with people's shots. That is the best way to learn. Repitition

Well squaring up gets the ballhandler in a better position to make an accurate pass. But use the Left-Thumbstick to direct the pass to make sure the Alley-Oop pass goes towards the player you want. Sometimes, just pressing Left-Trigger + A-Button (X-Button for PS3) will just throw it to the closest player. It's kind of like Directional Passing.

Oh Zihin, you have just opened up the game another level for me. I'm curious. What difficulty do you play on?

Based on seeing him around IGN, he plays Hall of Fame.

Also, I did get the pass down, but what is still really frustrating me is when I watch your videos, the player literally squares up to the basket, you know? But no matter what I do, the player won't change position when I pull L2 unless I'm backing someone down. I really think the PS3 version is ridiculously gimped.
