Re: Wildcat Formation in Madden 10 w/Pics
Thanks for the response and explanation. I was thinking of the DOF as more universal and wasn't thinking of the different settings. Makes more sense now and I appreciate the insight. Keep up the great work.Great photo reference. My guess is that when we took the shot our camera was either A)closer B)more telephoto or C)at a higher f-stop than the photographer. Any of these would create a blurrier foreground in the screenshot. My guess is the photographer had a lower f-stop. Maybe f4.0 - f5.6 than our shot which was at f2.8.Comment

Oh ok, makes sense. That one I'm not sure of. I believe I kept calling the same one, but mixing it up between passing and running, at least that's what I recall doing. I think my main objective was to try and break it and find an exploit so that I could bring it up to one of the Madden Teamers for examination, but I didn't find one so that's definitely very positive and I hope it's like that in the final.
I tried to do a long fake with Ronnie Brown where I was trying get the LB to bite on a pass over the middle so I could get him off balance and at least get some easy yards on the edge since the d-line was pretty much beat down here. That failed, so I went outside the pocket thinking they were sleeping... instead, I got assassinated, lol. It was a brutal hit. It was also a new animation on that hit. It's hard to describe, but it was appropriate.Comment

I'm supposed to have faith in this? You jest, surely? Sorry, but I'm not going to leave something like that alone when Ian gave no indication that the logo was nothing more than a size issue.
There's a thread over on Finheaven about these screens. Half the posts mention in passing how jacked up the logo is and half-heartedly hope it'll be fixed. The other half think it's great that the Wildcat is in the game, but didn't expect anything else and are of the opinion that he franchise still sucks anyway so they're probably not going to bother buying the game.
THAT'S the perception Ian and crew have to struggle against. Believe me, I'm doing a favor by hammering on this so hard, because this game needs to be as absolutely close to perfect as possible if the franchise is going to begin to regain the reputation it had in the Genesis, N64, and old gen days.Comment

You don't have to tell me I'm right. And it'll be good when I see screens indicating the error has been fixed, which I think it will be.
But, a note for the future, that "minor detail" that you think so little of is a game breaker for me. I don't play with any other team in Madden and I'm not going to drop another $50 on something I couldn't even play.Comment

It's not the freaking throwback. That's why I'm ticked. It looks like nothing the Fins have ever fielded. It's some Frankenstein abomination that needs to be put down ASAP and with extreme prejudice.Comment

Very impressive, those screeshots look amazing except for the crowd which could use a bit more work. The player models seem vastly improved. The ref on the ground also looks so realistic. When the game footage comes out I hope the animations are just as realistic.Comment
