The key is actually fixing the problem of a CB being able to come off the edge not just because of his ratings but in spite of some ratings.

First off we need to get past the idea the these OTs are all just lumbering hulks who can't move. Sure, their 40 times are not great but if you look at just the 10 yard split they aren't that bad. This needs to be represented in their acceleration ratings as well as acceleration being properly implemented.

Second, pass block footwork. This is an excelent opportunity for this rating to be brought into play. With proper footwork and angles taken that OT will have much fewer steps to take and much less distance to cover to stop the corner than that corner will have to get around him. Also this footwork could be used to help the OL keep their position in front of the corner as he tries to get around the end or cut back into the middle.

Third, the OL needs measurments for arm length. This is important in getting hands on and therefor staying ahead of quicker rushers.

Fourth, this corner is playing DE in a four man front. If the OL AI is fixed that should be the first place the tackle will look for who to block.

Fifth, the previous things should almost always stop the corner from making it in untouched, especially from the DE spot where he is the first guy the tackle will look to block. Any time the tackle gets ahold of the corner he should be on his a$$ no questions asked. He is giving up probably over 100 pounds in the matchup plus the pass block strength vs. pass rush moves, strength vs. strength, and other ratings should pretty well garuntee that corner loses every time.

sixth, if this guy is sending 8 or 9 into coverage that leaves 2 or 3 to be blocked by 5. That means the other rushers should all be able to double teamed. This basically means your QB should have about forever to throw the ball and eventually the WRs should get open.

seventh, torn ACL the first play of the game after subbing the CB in at DE. Boom. Roasted. You will never do that clown move again, unless you are some sicko that gets a kick out of injuries. If you put in the fourth string CB at DE in replacement of your first torn ACL CB, boom, first play, roasted. Another torn ACL. Over and over.
