Andy just because you think it's useless doesn't mean much. You're definately in the minority on this one. Sideline reporters add realism to the game in a major way (pls see 2k5), and it should definately be in the game.

I seem to remember reading the "If you see it on Sunday, see it in Madden NFL".

Whats amusing is you sound like an "online only" player. Of course, probably more than 50% of the "online only" players that are teenagers could give a **** about the real NFL games, the fantasy leagues, the stats, and the realism of the game in itself.

Alot (not all) of these online players want to do is brag about being the best in a extra sharp cheddar online mode in a sports game.

There are quite a few people that live for the franchise modes and actually have more fun scouting, the draft, and all the offseason stuff way more than actually playing the game.
