CAN WE HAVE REALISTIC TACKLE STATS!

i just want to be able to get 100+ tackles in a season with my top LB. im kinda getting tired of having a top LB getting 80 tackles on the season. thats not realistic. james laurinitus had a 130 tackles on the season last year. please fix this it will take 5 minutes of your time.

James Laurinitus jumped on the pile 50 times and got credit for 90 tackles can we get that in the game?

really???? all they have to do is increase the total amount of tackles! its a number not a in-game feature.

Whats with all the hate on JL? He wasn't a 3-time All-American for being a pile jumper.

If you mean in a simmed game they are working on simmed stats. In a played game, just turn the minutes up. I play on eight minutes and my FS had 90 tackles for a season, as did my MLB. I played a dynasty once where I had a MLB with a rating of 85 but the rest of the defense was terrible and he had over 180 tackles because he got there before everyone else. Needless to say he was an All-American. Also, check your scheme. In a 3-4 the LB's will get most of the tackles, but they will be spread out. In a 4-3 the MLB will typically be the one with the most tackles.

+1.......besides that has nothing to do with my thread. i want all top players to put up more tackles, and unllike someone suggested its not going to take that long

I would rather have realistic tackles.

Re: CAN WE HAVE REALISTIC TACKLE STATS!

we play on 6 min in online dynasty and each of us always have a guy over 100 tackles. I had 127 in Arthur Browns senior year at miami and 119 his freshman year. thats 6 min heisman. dont think its a prob. pretty realistic stats and now with assist it should be better. you have to remember that the game only counts solos and real life adds solo and assist. the game is pretty good on tackle numbers just the stat sheet wasnt working right. step up your tackling skills. should avg 10 a game with a mlb if you use him. also remember that on combo tackles that you are part of as a user count for you and the cpu controlled player on your team so that gives a little inflation kinda like assists. but if its two cpu players and your not one of them the guy that gets to the ball first gets credit.

pretty much all of our ss's finish with 90 plus tackles a year which needs to be and hopefully will be corrected with the pass game being worked on.

yes i was talking about simmed stats for top tacklers or my guys when im not playing. personal success varies so no thats not what im refering to.

i thought the assisted tackles were only added in madden? personal success is not what im refering to, besides i don't want to crank up my minutes because then all the stats go up and become unrealistic. if you got that many tackles then you had to be the tackling leader because the computer players NEVER get that many (and that's whats bothering me)

In order for this to happen, they have to start counting assists. If they counted assists, this would be accurate, but even with gang tackling, assits are counted.

Re: CAN WE HAVE REALISTIC TACKLE STATS!

I've always played on 4 minute quarters as that's all I really have time for and I don't think I've ever had a guy with more than 70 tackles. Even if he's the cornerstone of my defense and is a stud, because of the amount of time the quarters are is why he only gets that amount of tackles. The league leader usually has in the 100s so I rarely end up winning LB of the year or anything.

What I think would be good is to have the option to add stat modifiers to stat categories if you wish. So say you set your tackles modifier to 1.6 and your guy gets 70 in the season, he would actually get 112. They could have it so you could select anything between 1.0 and 2.0 with increments of 0.1.

This way each individual player could adjust to what works best for them to get realistic stats in their dynasty. One user who plays on 6 minute quarters might only want to add 1.1 to the tackles category so his MLB who got 92 tackles actually gets 102 to even him out a bit more with the rest of the league. Then the other user who plays on 3 minute quarters who's MLB gets 51 tackles sets his modifier to 2.0 so he get 102 to even him out with the rest of the league.

And once again this would only be an option, so those who think it's a silly idea could just leave everything set to 1.0 so whatever they get is what they get. For online dynasties the values could be agreed upon by all members before starting the dynasty or something. Just an idea that could potentially appease the masses.

                              assists are for both systems
