Good info... I like the kicker on the sideline thing... I'm skeptical on the QB aviodance thing, I don't like the fact that it will usually work the first time... but it could be good.. hard to say, thats a 2k thing I believe.

I'm not happy with the button mashing aspect of the pile, but I do understand that ultimately it's probably the best way to handle it... I hope EA has a way of disabling the turbo buttons on some controllers.

Love the fact that Elite players will now stand out... one thing I really fetl taht Madden 09 was lacking was team identity and this should go a long way in brining that back.

Good info though, and looking forward to more!

the QB pressure vibration is a nifty feature i didnt hear about till now. its going to make the passing game much easier and may remove the need to just keep running back. this mixed with the pocket may seriously erradicate the cheese qb 15 yard drop.

Same here, that was my favorite thing to hear about it. That's something else that also forced players to throw really, really quick passes and/or constantly scramble. You had to look for your receivers but you could never tell when pressure was coming too.

Adding a rumble when the pass rush gets close is a great way to allow players to concentrate on receivers, but still react to the rush.

YES! finally things that were in a 4 year old game make it to next gen. I'm not jumping circles. And yes I should have every right in voicing my opinion about NOT being stoked just as much as someone has the right to voice how greatly they are stoked about these features. Good bye madden forum.

Good read, i like almost everything i read. However one concern i have is regarding the QB avoidance feature.

Phil says they mainly want people to have success. Now i really hope the QB's elusiveness rating really comes into play here because i wouldnt want a QB to be able to avoid a sack with a low elusive rating just because they want it to work.

Didn't remember reading about a QB avoidance maneuver. Is that a new feature?

I'm a little nervous I'll be able to avoid sacks a little too easily while controlling Big Ben. I hope it's very subtle and hardly ever works.

Also, I like that the controller vibrates before you get hit, giving you a sense of the rush, but I'm wondering if it will be confusing. Will I look down at my QB thinking I got sacked when in reality I was just under pressure?

Yeah avoidance is new in Madden for this year (and before someone says it yes 2k has already done it and it works similarly). As for the rumble, there was a debate about that.
