Re: Hockeytown - A Detroit Red Wings Dynasty (NHL '09)

No, I put Conklin on waivers last season.

Yeah, you are probably right. I'm not sure which he was, but I do know that Columbus put him on waivers last season, and he was claimed by Minnesota. He is now either backing up Harding or in the minors.Comment

LIDSTROM AN ALL-STAR AGAIN, HOSSA SNUBBED

Detroit - Nicklas Lidstrom will once again suit up for the Western Conference all-stars in this years annual NHL All-Star game. Lidstrom was voted in despite the fact that he is having what would be called an off year by his standards.

Wings teammate Marian Hossa, one of the league's top snipers this season, was a notable omission from the roster.

"It doesn't matter," said Hossa. "The NHL All-Star game is a joke anyway. Nobody cares about the game. Whether is was the Rory Fitzpatrick campaign, or Montreal fans almost voting in all Montreal players, to the totally stupid skills competition where you dress up like a farmer or whatever to win, either way you look at it, the whole thing is stupid. I'll get some well deserved rest."
