Re: Ridins Rosters
just my opinion-I think with these post patch new rosters that Ridin is creating which will be stat glitch free plus the lineup workaround with the 2nd controller that the patch fixed, these rosters will give me the best opportunity to start a franchise with no problems. Since the problems are coming from pre patch franchises. Thank U Ridin & WookieComment

Re: Ridins Rosters
Yep I think your right and from what I read you have to reset your rosters after spring training and they will stick at least in season mode .just my opinion-I think with these post patch new rosters that Ridin is creating which will be stat glitch free plus the lineup workaround with the 2nd controller that the patch fixed, these rosters will give me the best opportunity to start a franchise with no problems. Re: Ridins Rosters
Ridin... Can I ask you a favor. Kevin Millar of the Blue Jays has an incorrect batting stance. Can you please correct it? The closest one to his is Jonny Gomes. While Jonny does not move the bat as fast as Kevin, the stance is almost perfect & so is the angle of the bat movement.
Orioles Chad Moeller wears #16 & uses a black glove. Orioles Zaun wears a black glove. Montanez wears #14. Mora wears a brown glove.
Nationals... Tavarez wears a black glove. Nieves wears #23. Hernandez wears a brown glove. Belliard wears #10 & Cintron wears #13 (number the game gives Belliard) Logan Kensing (just acquired from Florida) is wearing #26.
Also, you might want to change Abreu (Angels) to a black glove. & Posada (Yankees) to a Black glove & Cabrera (Yankees) to #53. (Abreu's old number) Cano (Yankees) uses a black bat. Sheffield (Met's) a black bat. Fukudome (Cubs) also uses a black glove. Hawpe (Rockies) also uses a black glove. Giambi (A's) uses a black bat. Hernandez (Reds) wears a black glove. Balfour (Rays) wears a black glove. Johnson (Giants) wears a brown glove. Medders (Giants) wears #52. Cruz (Royals) wears a blue glove.
Catchers... Molina (Giants) Schneider (Met's) Varitek (Red Sox) all wear knee savers on their shin guards.
League (Blue Jays) wears glasses #1Last edited by Big Shmooz; 04-30-2009, 11:31 AM.Comment

Hi Big Shmooz,
Your were a life safer for me when I was playing MVP. You were the first one to understand the MVP model file and set a standard that helped everyone, along with your assistance in many other areas.
Good to hear from you.

Re: Ridins Rosters
You're welcome
I probably have a bunch more for you if you want. These are just things I remember off the top of my head which the game's stock rosters defaults to incorrectly. Btw... I also added Cruz of the Royals to the list who wears a blue glove & League (Blue Jays) who wears glasses #1.
A few more... D-Backs ... Schoeneweis black glove. Qualls brown glove. Gordon black glove.
Met's.. Church, black glove & pine bat. Murphy, pine bat, brown glove. Feliciano brown glove. Tatis, pine bat. (game may already have him with pine bat. I am doing all this from memory since I am at work & not near my game)
Rivera (Angels) wears #20. Bush (Brewers) brown glove. Gerut (Padres) black glove. Young (Padres) needs his glove changed to brown. Ohlendorf (Pirates) brown glove. Garza (Rays) black glove. Greinke (Royals) wears a black glove. Bulger (Angels) black glove. (btw... he wears low socks) Clark (D-Backs) black bat. (Btw... he has no pine tar on his helmet)Last edited by Big Shmooz; 04-30-2009, 09:18 PM.Comment

Re: Ridins Rosters
Can someone explain what we are supposed to do to have the lineups stck. I keep hearig something about spring training and a second controller. A detailed description may be helpful for some of us. Sorry if this has been asked/explained/or posted before.Comment

Re: Ridins Rosters
Ridin, I have my edits for the NL done right now.
It's going slower than expected. Now, that I know that I will use these for franchise, I'm taking my time.
I'll send them to you when they're all complete.
I'm only doing batters and occasionaly some pitchers.Comment

Re: Ridins Rosters
I believe you need to set the roster control to on in your settings. Then set up the pitcher rotation & your lineups. If you play through spring training you will have to do this all over again after spring training. (pitching rotation & lineups) Then the game will follow your setup.
However if you play any of the games instead of simming them, you will have to start play as a two player game. (hence the need for two controllers)
Even though the lineup screen will show your lineup settings, once you go into the game, it will change them. Hence you need to actually start the game as a 2 player game.
Then after you start the gameplay, pause the game & move the controller of your opponent in the game to be the CPU instead of player 2. Then your game will play as you want it to.
You need to do this for every single game you actually playComment
