WINGS GET BIG WIN OVER WILD, BUT NOT WITHOUT HUGE PRICE

Summary - Marian Hossa scored his 41st and 42nd goals of the season to help Detroit get a huge win over Minnesota in a key Western Conference matchup. The news was not all good for Detroit as all-star defenseman Nicklas Lidstrom will miss the next 11 days with an injury. The Wings, in a tight playoff race, will be without their captain for the next five games.

Columbus in first? The Ducks in second? Will never happen, lol.

Also, just started looking through a few updates, what kind of trades have you made? I see you have Backstrom in net.

Hey, welcome aboard! I'm in year #2 so far. Last year, I traded Brett Lebda, Jakub Kindl and Jiri Hudler to Minnesota for Backstrom. I also traded Mikael Samuelsson, Andreas Lilja and a draft pick to Nashville for Steve Sullivan at the deadline. Sullivan left during free agency. I had serious cap issues in the offseason which caused me to dump alot of salary so I traded Tomas Holmstrom and Dan Cleary to Montreal for Maxim Lapierre (who I placed on waivers early in the season cause he sucks) and Francois Bouillon. I also traded Kris Draper to New Jersey and Chris Osgood to Atlanta draft picks. I had enough money left to re-sign either Johan Franzen or Niklas Backstrom - I chose Backstrom, and Franzen, the traitor, signed with Columbus, who yes, are the defending Stanley Cup Champions. And now you are caught up...I hope you continue to check in here.

Wow, lol. Columbus won the cup? Well good luck and will keep reading as long as you have the main four of Pavel, Henrik, Marian and Nicklas. You lose any of them and I stop reading, lol.

LOL, good to hear. Datsyuk is under contract and I just locked up Zetterberg and Hossa to long term deals in the offseason, which is the root trouble with my cap. Nick is a UFA at the end of the season, I'm half expecting him to retire, but if he doesn't, he will be back in red and white next year for sure!
