Thanks Russell! I'm glad things got ironed out.

I wish the DL issue would have been fixed, but I can deal with it and there's really nothing else that bothers me. I will just play with injuries off. Looking forward to getting my franchise going!

I just got brought up to the majors with my RTTS guy. I don't have 1.06 patch and I don't want it, but SC keeps wanting me to download it before logging in. So, how can I get new rosters WITHOUT DLing the pathc? Or is it even possible?

Help appreciated.

Just download them from here at O.S. and put them on a USB drive. I posted some stock SCEA 4/27 rosters except I added the AAA Iowa Cubs to it.

8001050F Error during start up operation only occured after patch install. Figured I had to reformat hard drive b4 throing it in trash. I reformatted it and came started fine for first time in couple a days! It downloaded patch then went to pedroia screen were it puts everything on HDD. it looked like it was gonna work! It said it can take 6-7 min. after 15 min. and the load bar seemed stuck, but my system wasnt stuck. therefore i feel that my system is fine but fighting with that PATCH 1.06. After seeing improvment whem reformatting i havent lost hope. Now im reformatting for 2nd time hoping this time the install to HDD doesnt get stuck at pedroia screen. Im about to call Sony, but i know there jus going to tell me to send it in. Hopefully theyll just replace, but first im reformatting 2nd time and mayb tryen different game first like Killzone and if that works i figure its a Patch 1.06 issue thats clogging my HDD with bug thats making my system appear broken when in reality this only came to surface after drowning of that patch in my system! 411 guys. Im probably the last one left with no Show. Im stuck in middle of ocean here! This sucks

You do not have to reformat your hard drive after installing the patch .

What I would do is get your system up and running install a game other then the show to see if it your system that is having the problem . Now that you have reformated I'm sure you lost the saved data from MLB the Show ? if your starting over you should be able to put the patch on with no problems other then the Replays at the end ...

You should never have to wipe your system just becasue your having problems with a game patch .

That is extreme ...

Sorry bout the CAPS guys! its just i wanted it to get noticed! my ps3 is reformatting for second time now! Please read that post please. Im telling you I got a weird situation going here and dont think i need repair. Mayb jus a new ps3 internet update or a show tiny update!

Yes Yankee fan. It was going bonkers till I reformatted my system. Then appeared it was going to run game after starting from new, but it stayed more then 6-7 min.. at pedrioa screen which puts all the memory from game on HDD. So I came to conclusion that something real buggy happen with my hard drive and this patch! Before buying a new Ps3 which i cant afford or repairing that I cant afford I decide to sacrifice HDD memory and reformat b4 giving up. After first attempt it looked like it was going to run, but no! So now im rformatting 2nd time, but this time im going to put Killzone in see if its runs. At the end I feel im getting that error code 8001050f, but that problem only appeared after 1.06. I feel my system is not broken and its just bad luck that always seems to come my way. I love this game and dont care about this or that! I just want my game and system running like it was b4 patch! After tryen this reformatt with a different game in a little bit I hope it concludes that its just a PATCH 1.06 problem thats colliding with my HDD in a real buggy way?ahhhhhhhhhh

Do this: Disconnect your internet connection (physically is probably the easiest for you). Make sure you delete the MLB 09 cache data from the Game Utility Folder (or in your case you may have reformatted your drive which would do the trick). Put the disc in and install the game first. Make sure the game works fine next (with internet still off). After that reconnect the internet put the game disc in, and install the patch.

Kuban, the patch 1.06 itself had NOTHING to do with your predicament. How it was installed (interrupted for instance possibly due to poor internet connectivity at the time) or how the game was installed (interrupted installation somehow) is the more likely culprit. I am not sure what you did since I wasn't there, but believe me it was not the patch itself. No one else has had this problem. It may have also been pure coincidence. One of my 360s got RROD when I put in a game for the first time, but it wasn't the games fault, it was just its time to go.

Guys, quick question. Plan on starting my franchise Monday. Read where Russell said it is ok to go ahead and start and the replays will be grandfathered in which is great. Also saw where the extra game (I believe LA/SD) the first week of the season is what seems to be causing the problem. So we don't have to wait for the semi-patch to fix the schedule before starting our franchise?? Won't the schedule be messed up until the patch?? Sorry just kinda confused is all

Anyone know if it is ok to start Monday or do we need to wait for the semi-patch? Thanks guys

the only reason some people didnt donwload the patch is becuase it messed up already existing franchises and stuff. if your startin from scratch, there is no reason not to DL the patch, cuz it makes the game better.

Ya doc I went there las night. Thank you so much. I restored settings and same o crap, but then I restored system and it seemed to do the trick! My game started normally and attempted to download game to HDD at pedrioa screen, but it lagged longer then the 6-7 min it states itll take so I dont know. It jus stalled at that screen. So now im restoring a 2nd time to attempt to see if my other BDs work. Yes its a 800 series error, but theres a bunch of different ones. Myn is 8001050f error during start up which i didnt get after restoration until it seemed to stall duren nstall to HDD. Im telling you guys I think its not a system problem, but a issue that fights the patch with my HDD. I didnt have these problems until this patch came. It seems to have destroyed my Ps3

If you reformatted the drive before you do anything go to system update. Make sure you have the lattest ps3 ver. running. Once confirmed then start you game. Maybe the sys. update is fighting with the MLB09 update. (both tring to install at the same time).
