I'm hoping someone can help me here.

Can someone please post the cons to both patches?

For example, the latest patch causes crashes, doesn't show replays, etc.

The first patch doesn't fix the scheduling problem.

If someone can swing this, it would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: I'm trying to figure out which patch to go with, or maybe even wait for this third patch before I start a franchise.

Yes itll say you have latest update. Im getting at the fact that game or system starting working better after restore, but it didnt complete install. so after this 2nd restoration im going to try different game and movie first. Doc I understand you telling me that its not a direct problem that resulted from 1.06, but it wasnt like this b4 and now its gone mad. The evidence is there to sent that patch to jail for a lonnng while. Im not giving up hope and waiting to try new game after reformating 2nd time. hopefully after that i put Thesho in and it installs update succesfully so I dont have to deal with the dilemma of repairing or mayb even replacing. Its just that I was playing the show perfectly until this ordeal arrived. Thanks for the response and guys pray for my Ps3! Its in critical condition and the show and I are going to be left with nothing but a heavy deadly weapon!

If you reformatted the drive before you do anything go to system update. Make sure you have the lattest ps3 ver. running. Once confirmed then start you game. Maybe the sys. update is fighting with the MLB09 update. (both tring to install at the same time).

That's a really big point I forgot to tell him. Good catch.

Oh, and I can't tell you how important this is. Make sure your internet connection is SOUND before downloading the updates or you can brick your system. It has happened to me before.

I'll be honest guys. My game is working great, and I think I will wait to see how things turn out with "Patch 2.5" (the replay fix one) before I download it.

Yea, good luck with it. That system is still too expensive for something bad to happen to it that isn't covered by warranty.

I think both my questions were missed the last couple of pages, so i'll ask them again:

1. Russell, will potential be one of the attributes that will be updated?

2. Is it better to continue a RTTS that was started before the patch, or should you start new ones instead?

Doc you mean reboot router and my dsl box? Im also going to try runnig The Show first without it being connected to network. How bout if the game runs without being online and updating!? Does that mean I just have to wait for some sort of update via Ps3 internet update or Show update that doesnt look like its coming. I just have a feeling it s this weird issue and not my system because i dust it. shut it down properly and I know never to turn system off during yellow light or nstall of any kind! I know that and would never lose the frame of mind to mess it up that way! My nephew broke PsP by messing wit it during a install process! It never worked again. I just feel something fishy going. Well thanks and hope to keep in touch. Im gonna go c at what stage the restoratio is at and then A) Try different game aside from show B) Try the show w/o it being online C) Dont know what C is going to be, probably just get depressed that my life is in disarray and now my Ps3 is broken. Lets hope I dont go with C

Ok so i am going to try get this done and fix the game, can some one please tell me what i should do to get it to work 100%

Ie: Delete the patch and so forth, please.

So, what exactly is this 'extra game' that causes crashes? I have no problem with restarting my stuff, but just curious as to what happened here. I tried searching, but it always timed out. I don't know if it's my connection or the search is just screwy right now.

The original game had the opening Dodgers/Padres series as a three game series....the patch has it as a four game series. The franchises in progress got all confused over that.

In real life it was a 4 game series. So the original game has the wrong number of games for the Pads and Dodgers then??

They only have 161 games then or what???

I assume that was the case, unless the original Show had a Dodgers/Padres series that was one game too long later in the year.
Too bad they didn't program in provisions for rainouts. Maybe we could have gone back and rescheduled that missed game.

I was waiting t start yankee season till the patch came out but I started another season, if I put that on a flafh drive dl the patch, then put he flash drive back n will that work?
