Imagine, if you will, how many hardware/software configurations a PC game needs to be compatible with and then take the next step and realize that a patch must do this as well. Finally ask yourself, how does that differ from this current situation?

I'll say it again, in my experience patches are placebos and that is o.k. They should never be cancer.

    And your point?

As for the fixes, the only one to expect is the "mini patch" for the replay issue sometime this week. Not really in limbo, just not necessarily the info everyone wanted to hear.

That's good to hear, never saw that.

Yeah, seemed pretty obvious to me. Not sure how he didn't get the point.

My whole thing is why can't they fix the roster control bug with the mini-patch too? To me it's more important then any highlight i could watch. It really is a shame because this game is so close to being great but what do you do?

              Lendog,

I'm completely speculating on this, but I think it's tied into the AI logic with the auto fix lineups, and perhaps they would have to redo all that? Again, I'm just talking off the top of my head, but perhaps it's more detailed than that.

I agree, and I'm having to work around somethings like changing some positions of players to get them in the game /whether or not it's RP/SP, etc., but it's a workaround that works for me.

Agreed man. That's my biggest disppointment with the game. It's a shame having to workaround it because it's just a hassle. I love the game and out of anything was hoping this would be fixed, but I guess it won't be for this year.

I appreciate your response, although Ive come to the realization that you will ignore each and every post I make while addressing the same things I say when a different poster mentions it themselves, so thanks for that. I find it VERY hard to believe that nobody had any idea that altering the schedule would screw with pre-patch franchises, if you were merely changing times for games to start then I could understand this thought process but adding a game to the schedule and you didnt think it would effect the game at all? Really? I mean, Ive got a 5 man rotation, if you add a game which changes the layout of the games on the schedule and suddenly my #2 starter is pitching on one day earlier, in a game that previously didnt exist, even though that same guy has already pitched the next day in the game that was already on the schedule, how did you not think that would throw things off? I dont buy that response at all. I buy that you didnt test it under these conditions but common sense tells me that if the schedule is changed after the fact then it will effect things since now there is a game added that was never played and the user is already past that day so he cant go back and play it so what did you think would happen? I would love to hear what you think would have happened in the end in regards to what I posted. I doubt you will address this but maybe someone else will pose this question and then you will address them.

I need to get this off my chest so here it goes, I think it utter b.s that a company as big a SCEA can't put out a playable game with out all the bugs and glitches in it? It's almost like it didn't even go through a testing phase. I know there are deadlines to meet and alot people are enjoying the game as is but for me and a few others it's very hard to play a game that not true to the real thing and the only reason it's not is from lackof effort or carelessness on there qa team and no i don't blame Russell for this as he can only do so much. I assure you that in the future i will not buy this game until i know for certin that it will be playable, which right now for me it's not, well without having to do a bunch of work arounds and all Some advice for next year if you have to delay it to make it right then please do so, as we'll all be happier in the end.

I'm stuck in on July 21, 2014 and every time I go to schedule my PS3 turns off... Is there anything I can do here, or am I just screwed? Trying to catch up on this thread but it sounds like I may be done with this game.

ok so just to be 100% sure before i start my franchise in the next day or so-the only problem reported at all with post-patch franchises is the highlight reels not showing at the end of games, right? and there are no further problems whatsoever? thanks.

So you were there in the building as a tester testing the game? If you were not there how do you know if there was a lack of effort?
