Re: MLB 09: The Show Patch Released 4/27/09 - Impressions and Discussion Here
I think that was just a general response to the many comments about the state of SCEA QA.
As for the fixes, the only one to expect is the "mini patch" for the replay issue sometime this week. Not really in limbo, just not necessarily the info everyone wanted to hear.
That's good to hear, never saw that.Comment

Re: MLB 09: The Show Patch Released 4/27/09 - Impressions and Discussion Here
My whole thing is why can't they fix the roster control bug with the mini-patch too? To me it's more important then any highlight i could watch. It really is a shame because this game is so close to being great but what do you do?Comment

Re: MLB 09: The Show Patch Released 4/27/09 - Impressions and Discussion Here
I'm completely speculating on this, but I think it's tied into the AI logic with the auto fix lineups, and perhaps they would have to redo all that? Again, I'm just talking off the top of my head, but perhaps it's more detailed than that.
I agree, and I'm having to work around somethings like changing some positions of players to get them in the game /whether or not it's RP/SP, etc., but it's a workaround that works for me.Comment

Agreed man. That's my biggest disppointment with the game. It's a shame having to workaround it because it's just a hassle. I love the game and out of anything was hoping this would be fixed, but I guess it won't be for this year."The best thing about being a football player at Alabama...winning...winning." -Mark Barron

Re: MLB 09: The Show Patch Released 4/27/09 - Impressions and Discussion Here
We had no idea the patch would effect some of the franchise and RTTS save files. So much of the QA process is retro-active. However we want everyone to know that we take theses issues very seriously and we looking at ways to help make this process better in the future.Comment

Re: MLB 09: The Show Patch Released 4/27/09 - Impressions and Discussion Here
I need to get this off my chest so here it goes, I think it utter b.s that a company as big a SCEA can't put out a playable game with out all the bugs and glitches in it? It's almost like it didn't even go through a testing phase. I know there are deadlines to meet and alot people are enjoying the game as is but for me and a few others it's very hard to play a game that not true to the real thing and the only reason it's not is from lackof effort or carelessness on there qa team and no i don't blame Russell for this as he can only do so much. I assure you that in the future i will not buy this game until i know for certin that it will be playable, which right now for me it's not, well without having to do a bunch of work arounds and all Some advice for next year if you have to delay it to make it right then please do so, as we'll all be happier in the end.Comment

I'm stuck in on July 21, 2014 and every time I go to schedule my PS3 turns off... Is there anything I can do here, or am I just screwed? Trying to catch up on this thread but it sounds like I may be done with this game.Comment

ok so just to be 100% sure before i start my franchise in the next day or so-the only problem reported at all with post-patch franchises is the highlight reels not showing at the end of games, right? and there are no further problems whatsoever? thanks.Comment
