Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 10 Blog: Live Tournaments w/ Video
EA has just posted another Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 10 blog. This one covers live tournaments.
"Alright, I’ve been waiting all year to write this blog and I finally got the green light to do it. Our NEW Live Tournament feature is one we have been hinting at on the forums for some time now. We’ve been talking about what we were going to be doing “differently” with Daily Tournaments and this is it…and then some. Since you’ve all been waiting patiently (some impatiently) to hear what this feature is all about, I am going to try and go into as much detail as possible for you. I am currently on a plane out to Los Angeles where we will be unveiling this new Live Tournament s mode to the media. My laptop is draining battery as I type this, so let’s get crackin’…"

Seems like a really cool idea. Not sure about people being able to "purchase" another round if they don't like the score. I feel that if you shoot an 83 that round should count not just spend money and try again. But I can't wait to try this out. -

Tell me about it. I look forward to trying to best the pro's at the US. Open. As much as I would like to win, I think that I would be upset if I shot a 62 in a round at the open and the leader shot a 69 or 70.Moderator

Re: New Tiger Woods 10 blog: Live Tournaments
For those of you who shoot these rounds of 50's are you turning all aids off because in the TW PC versions I have no aids on and I have never come close to shooting in the 50's. Then again the PC version gives you one putter not these stupid multiple putter ranges that past console versions have. If people complain it's too easy then don't use these cheezy aids.Comment

Well FWIW I play with on the tour pro difficulty, so I get no extra spin from hitting buttons.Moderator

sounds interesting - like what I am reading. I think it will be very interesting to see how TW Players fair in the "Play the Pros" mode, especially on Beth Page Black. We all know that the real pros will most likely be in the Even range for the tourney, so hopefully we won't be shooting in the low 60's or even upper 50's.PC / Xbox One X

man I hope not. I am obviously reserving judgement until the game comes out, but EA needs to get it right when it comes to making a game that plays more realistic.Comment

Re: Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 10 Blog: Live Tournaments w/ Video
Did you notice that "pippin 22" shot a 55 in the first round of the Play-the-Pros Transitions Championship, to lead by eleven strokes over Jim Furyk? These Play-the-Pros events are playing in Tour Pro difficulty, with other variables ratcheted up (like skill caps) to make it even more realistic. I know EA Sports probably has some elite gamers on their staff, but to see a 55 has me wondering. I'm a bit surprised that EA Sports let this screen shot get out of the bag.
I realize this screen was taken back in March, so they may have tweaked it up to play even harder since then. Also, since Innisbrook Copperhead isn't in the game, it's not clear what collection of holes they used to try to replicate it for the Play-the-Pros either. Still, it shouldn't be that easy to shoot a 55 under Play-the-Pros in Tour Pro difficulty!Last edited by OnlookerDelay; 05-09-2009, 12:06 PM.Duke Football?
