As much as a pipedream that would be to see back, I'd go nuts if it were. If they tied into some intermission report type deal to it as well on other games going on that would just be sick. Highly doubtful but hey if the're redoing the crowd and atmosphere, heres to hoping for more & deeper presentation features as well. My guess is season/playoff seperate modes since so many have been asking for that to be put back in for a couple years now.

I watched it some time ago but basically passing is not going to be 100% tape-to-tape and it will be more "open". Thanks goodness.Part 2 is up, I am at work and don't have sound so I cannot hear what he is saying. If someone wants to say what it says.

He also commented on better goalies a deeper Dynasty mode and how you'll see the return of some features that were in hockey games in years past but disappeared.Comment

Re: NHL 10 Producer Blog: Part One
Lets just hope that that the passing comment is actually true this year. They mentioned this exact statement last year and it never made it into the game. We'll see...Comment

Post whistle scrums aren't a huge deal to me. I really want gameplay that occurs while the puck is moving. I want scrums by the boards (board-play and puck movement along the boards). About 40% of the offensive play in *real* hockey occurs along the boards in the offensive zone, cycling the puck. It's not all crisp passing and open ice in the offensive zone. Fix that, then worry about scrums after the whistle.Comment

Re: NHL 10 Producer Blog: Part One
couldn't agree more. I think Littman may be overstating the importance of post whistle scrum when we are lacking any board play during actual gameplay. not to mention I really, really hope they addedPost whistle scrums aren't a huge deal to me. A) player on player collisions (non body check collisions/bumping into each other INCLUDING teammates)
B) player on goalie collisions!Comment

Re: NHL 10 Producer Blog: Part One
Amen. It's so frustrating to have an open spot in the slot, but nobody goes there while you're cycling the puck in PP or otherwise.
Anyways, thanks for the vids, and keep up the good work!Comment

From the community day pics blog:
"In NHL 10 this year, there is a big focus on improved physical play and in real life hockey a big part of that is ensuring hockey players are fit, have great endurance, and are just tough overall."
Hopefully that means better board play!Originally posted by iBlievN5there... are... people in australia?Originally posted by LoCo-LINEBACKER-Yes, theyre are, healthy people to, not the obese kind.Comment

Re: NHL 10 Producer Blog: Part One
Well thats what it implies at least. I'm wondering if there was some sharing of Madden's Pro Tac? If true and implimented well, along with less tape tp tape passing and better goalies, I think the majority of us will be quite pleased this year. Starting to get excited here, bring on the gameplay vids EA!From the community day pics blog:
