I haven't even been "authorized" by Phil or Ian or marketing to post this...I was just so pleased with the fun factor in the game right now, I had to post and share with the 10-15 people that would care about this type of thing!

As you have probably seen by now with what Phil and Ian are doing this year with Madden 10, this year is about getting feedback from the people like you on the boards, on twitter, etc. and making sure those important fixes and changes get into the final product. What they have done here with Madden is revolutionary in the gaming industry, especially when you consider the level and extent of the outreach that has already taken place this year.

Funny thing is, all I need to do is FWD out Josh Looman's emails to the Central Gameplay Department about CPU vs CPU games, he writes up the most detailed game reports! I'll see if he has some spare time next week, he is super swamped getting franchise mode in final form this week (and last). Major crunch time going on for us at the Tib.

I'd like to see experiences of the game from alot of the devs if alot of you had the time.

I feel pretty honored that I noted the Julius Peppers with UNC basketball thing before Donny could get it out. I also want to thank you for pointing that out about that play. I felt just from reading it that it was a play that only Peppers could make, and am glad that yall made sure that no other DE could do it

Yes, We mean User vs CPU. Humans play differently.

Donny regardless of how the game turns out (i am somewhat on the fence i am sure the game will be better than 09 but not quite the greatest thing since sliced bread as some would have you think) this is a wonderful teaser!!!

it makes me forget all the bad about the game and reminds me that its just a game to be enjoyed. it reminds me of the years i pre ordered and paid extra shipping (TO HAWAII!!!!) to get he game the day of/before!

-1st quarter - screen pass to Forte, Packers blitzing hard, Cutler gets it off to Forte who has at least 2 OL ahead to block. 75 yards later, 7-0 CHI.

Hey Donny, thanks for the update. Love what I'm hearing and am as optimistic as I've been in a while for a Madden game. I'm assuming with this long screen the HB screen has been fixed? Last year it was completely broken IMO...this happened all the time:

Yea Donny I meant User vs CPU games. Thanks anyways for the response. I'd love to hear from Josh, hopefully he can give us some juicy details on how Franchise is coming along.....I'm so greedy, I know.:wink:

Me and my friend always email each other during the week with game reports from our franchises. We get to know each others new draft picks pretty well! Haha!

Not looking forward to facing Peppers in Madden 10 though... I just hope he gets traded soon

well i wouldnt say entirely broken you had to throw he screen super hard (hold down the button longer) then the back would stop and catch instead of coming back to he ball.

Lets just hope the peppers INT wasn't like the super LB jump. I mean i know peppers is a physical freak and probably one of the few actually capable of making that catch but it should still be a little less extreme

I think he was more worried about the "Amazing leaping INT" the crap seen in Madden for a while now.

100% agreed. I am as well. That is probably the worst thing about Madden games of the past. That really better be fixed.

well i wouldnt say entirely broken you had to throw he screen super hard (hold down the button longer) then the back would stop and catch instead of coming back to he ball.

Problem is, when you throw it hard, it takes longer to throw the ball (as it should)...often resulting in sacks. Very seldom does a QB rocket a HB screen pass...if ever

And yes, the insane reflexes by LBs and DEs need to be tuned down. I'm sick of seeing a WR wide open 10 yards behind a linebacker that is 5 yards of the LOS, throwing the ball and having him react so quickly with his 80 inch vertical and get the pick. Peppers is a FREAK athlete, but in general this needs to go.

Great read, but I hope you can answer this question. In Madden 09, I had a major problem with the passing game. Meaning that a lot of times when I was throwing crossing routes, I would lead the receiver whom would be open by 4-5 yards, only to have the receiver turn in back of himself to catch the ball, which in turn would take a potential 15-20 yard gain and make it a 7 yard gain. I thought maybe it was the QB I was using(Orton), so I played with the Jets(you know who), and the same thing was happening. The question I have is has anyone else complained about this, and if so has it been addressed? Thanks for all the info.

Whenever you guys feel the urge to share a few tid-bits of information about the game, no matter how minute it may be, I'm all ears.

Had it been some goofy crap, a bug would have been sent out 5 minutes after we put the controllers down!

It was well within Julius Peppers capabilities, and probably no other DE in football. That is because we give him a higher JMP and CTH that other DEs in the league (say thanks UNC Basketball!).

I think its safe to give him those ratings

For those who still dont know. He has played TE at times as well.

I love hearing the news that there are to many long term injuries happening. Glad this was looked into. Im sure yall will have it tuned properly after further testing.
