      Idea for Madden: Blitz timing

Allowing a LB or DB to time a running start on a blitz. Now this is what we see on Sunday. Example: player cycles through defense and selects a free safety....then "clicks" the right analog (ie press down--this is hardly used)....free safety begins sprint to the line of scrimmage either right before the snap or has click the analog again to stop the motion....if the player doesn't time this right he's offsides....

This is just an example....maybe others have ideas to tweak this.

And sadly you didn't debate a single thing I said (kinda funny though). Just fyi, I was responding to someone else's post.

Not to mention I did post earlier in this thread regarding the video if I recall. Instead of catching feelings about what I said in my second post, why not explain why you thought what I said was wrong
HBO's "The Wire" should rank as one of the top 10 shows EVER on tv - period

Wasn't catching feelings, just giving you and V a hard time. It's all out of fun man...But you guys are die-hard 2k don't be denying that though. V denies it and lies through his teeth, but I know you'll admit it.

I saw you spraying the logic on in your post as well, but you didn't chime in, until someone said,"Ian is talking smack about 2k". And you came running! lol..

Either way I'm just messing with you man....and keep the badge...lol

You shouldn't be worried boss. Back at CD, one of my critiques was that we didn't see 3-4 man gang tackles enough. It felt like 3+ man gang tackles were supressed as it was a new feature and they didn't want to over use it. My rebuttal is if the tech is there and the situation is applicable, use it. I think we should often see 3-4 men swarming in to make the play especially when running the ball. Now when you start talking 5+, then of course you don't want to see that so often. But 3-4 men tackles are seen if not often, then consistently in the NFL. This is why it's good that they're adding variety to the type of gang tackles.

I know what you said is not directed at me but I wanted to comment. Most importantly, I don't feel your flat out wrong for what you said. In fact, I read alot of your posts and enjoy pretty much all of them. I just want to comment on the below:

Really it's going to be unfair to Madden to directly compare the games; sort of like a 25yr-old Lebron bragging that he beat a 45yr-old Michael Jordan. He's supposed to. But if he didn't, it'd look bad on LeBron.
I hesitated in commenting b/c then I know it leaves the door open for me to criticized as coming to Tiburon's defense. But I just don't agree with the logic. I'm sure that you, me, and everyone else has criticized EA for their shotty OL/DL play over the past few years if not longer. As we're all aware, 2K is the measuring stick in this area. Well now they're (EA) taking steps to address it, and then comes the 'well it's about time' sentiments. Do you see what I'm getting at here? It's bad enough that Madden went so long without addressing this area. We criticized them unmercifully for ignoring this core component of football. And now that they are recognizing that it needs an overhaul and taking the steps to improve it, we belittle them for drawing a comparison to 2K (the measuring stick) and trying to surpass them. The important thing to me is that they're addressing it; not that it's taken too long for EA to catch up.

A lot of people don't recognize this now, but I've always been a HUGE 2K fan. NFL2K5 (I still play almost daily), APF2K, NBA2K (a fave), you name it, I've probably played it. But improvement is improvement in my eyes.

OMG! Something might have been said about 2ksports and here you are to the rescue!!! Obviously the comment must have been true about 2ksports games, in which they are, I've loss counts on how many times I've lost control my RB or Receiver due to animations not allowing me to change moves. Not to mention in NBA 2k9 where I've constantly done stupid layups or up and under moves that I didn't command!

But again we know who you work for!

This is the paragraph I wanted to quote. I've been trying to say this, but you summed it up much better than I did.

Exactly. I absolutely hate it when people do that. I'm a positive person so yeah, I don't understand why people would be like that.

They bash madden for not having "x", and yet when "x" comes, they bash it since another game had "x" before.

Like if you are mad about one thing, you should be happy about the opposite. It makes no sense to be mad in both cases and therefore it shows who are truly the die-hard 2k fanboys.
