I really want to like this game, i'm dying for a good console golf game but all i can think when i see these vids is "Same old, Same old"

I agree. Also, man I hate that stupid yellow trail behind the ball, way too arcade like. I just hope the distances have been toned down on tour mode.

That is only activated during Practice/Club Tuner mode....

Are there different views once you've hit the golf ball? I am so sick of the "behind the ball" camera. I want more views that are like a golf telecast.

They have had Presentation Cam since TW09 and this years cameras appear to be much improved over last years...more like a TV broadcast. The ONLY reason for Ball Cam is for those who play default difficulty with the after shot spin and boost effects (features that simply nauseate me to no end because they don't BELONG in a PGA TOUR licensed Golf game....)

Well I'll get on mine but only briefly. The one thing that boggles my mind is why is console golf (especially considering it''s simulation roots on PC) the only sports game that needs to be identified, and take pride in, by making it tricked out with juvenile options. Games like Fight Night and the UFC game take pride in trying to make it realistic yet for golf the more tricks the better apparently. It's more mind boggling when you think golf would be the one console sports game that should depend on realism over any other. It's lamost like EA doesn't consider golf fans to be real sports fans and nee to be entertained. Maybe it's the Tiger license that costs so much money to EA that they need to guarantee that 10 year olds will buy it.

I wish videogame companies would stop dumbing down their products. Realism should be the #1 priority for a game like this. I really hope it has taken a step forward in that department this year.

Here's some footage of the new TV Style Broadcast camera work. I really like the way the camera holds the swing view for the first half of the tee shot and then switches to a reverse angle "snap-to-lie-esque" camera, which tracks and zooms in on the ball as it slows to a stop. I notice also that they hold the golfer's swing camera view for longer on each shot, before switching to another camera... I really like that for allowing me to frame the shot from my golfer's perpsective.

I also think golf games should have photo realistic graphics by now.
