    The Cold...?

Jorden Gross is injuried on field. We will have a further report of his head after the game.

I check the injury report after the game...Sure enough Gross is out for 3 days with a cold I didnt realize you could hit someone and get the cold

Anyone have any crazy, funny, or odd stories about their players getting hurt?

I had one receiver who was out for 3 weeks for poking himself in the eye while putting in his contact. Thank goodness it was the off-season. I also had my starting rb hit get a concussion by hitting his head on the shower door and was out for 10 days.

Imagine if someone was out for 4 weeks with the Swine Flu?

that's hilarious!!! One of my most annoying injuries was when I was down by 8 against the Cowboys and leading a game-tying drive in the last minute when all of a sudden McNabb's on the sideline and Kolb's in. I couldn't put him back in. Kolb came in and tied the game but couldn't get the two point conversion. After the game I look and McNabb left the game because of dehydration.

This one really makes me laugh (sorry if its at your expense a little :wink.

"The Cold" was a hold over from part of the injury system that eventually got cut. We were going to have a bunch of "out-of-game" injuries that would crop up from time to time unrelated to playing that you as a coach would have to deal with.

We didn't get to this completely (the off-season injuries, which i believe were mentioned in this thread are game-changers and aren't directly driven by the injury system) but for the sake of having a variety of injuries we left "The Cold" in.

If it bothers you, just insert "Stinger" every time you see it.

The funniest injury I've ever seen (which actually was bugged by QA before we shipped) was one of the game changer type injuries that stated something to the effect of: "Darren Sproles bruised his head because he didn't duck when he walked through a door."

At 5'6", that must have been a pretty small door.

It doesnt bother me much at all. I spent more time laughing and confused then anything else.

I bet Darren was trying to fit into the doggie door

Reminds me of the super bowl vs the patriots minus the part he left the game, and maybe he wasnt dehydrated but tired is close to it.
