Re: Madden NFL 10 Blog: Revamping How Injuries Work
The "CSI" injury presentation would have been amazing if it actually looked like the concept video instead of a boring box. This new way looks like it's a great way of doing it too though. Looking forward to the when the video works so I can see it in action. =)Comment

Re: Madden NFL 10 Blog: Revamping How Injuries Work
That blog just put a HUGE smile on my face. WOW. What a difference a year makes!
Now my only question...
When a player is injured (say Manning used in the example with a shoulder problem), are there specific animations showing him favor the said shoulder that is injured?Comment

Re: New Blog is Up
what happens if your guy is out for a quarter or half, and you do sub him out, will he automatically be put back in when he's ready or are you going to be asked again at that time?
i didn't really care too much for this blog this time. i wouldn't call this more important than pro-tak or OL/DL interaction or a whole lot of other things. It's good info dont get me wrong, but i file this under the whole equipment/colored cleats/mouthguard stuff I really don't care too much about but a lot of ya'll do. it's all good.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 10 Blog: Revamping How Injuries Work
I like all the of details about the injury system. The progressive injury is awesome. Good to see new injury animations occur if you play with a hurt player.
My only issue is if there isnt a health system in M10(something like Head Coach) then its all really pointless. If I tear my ACL IRL my knee is not going to be as strong when I return. I will in fact have an increased chance of rehurting my knee. Even if I do the proper rehab and "fully" recover my knee will never be the same.
I hope there is a health system and yall are just waiting to release it at a later time. I just figured now would have been a great time to release it with the injury system because of how closely they relate to each other.Comment

Re: New Blog is Up
I love the fact that there is a strategic element to the game now. you always here that football sometimes is a game of chess and this new inury system brings that. I like that Ian mentioned the need for quality backups in your franchise. That makes me think that fatigue will be a factor. also hints at a more robust franchise mode, im loving this right now lolDIE HARD Knicks, Yankees, and Titans fan...

Re: Madden NFL 10 Blog: Revamping How Injuries Work
I wonder if they could tie each injury type into a few animations so that a shoulder injury might result or has a slightly higher chance of resulting from specific tackle animations. Also, I like the idea of the injury specific animations like the reinjury of the knee. Very cool. Good blog.
In the coming weeks, I'm hoping to see a little more of franchise though. Even if it's just bits and pieces like stat generation fixes, new logos for create-a-team, little stuff. I just want to know that it's gonna have something for me to sink my teeth into. 09 was much better than 08, but it was still sorely lacking in several key areas. Franchise is where I spend about 80% of my time with madden, hopefully they will give me a reason to really keep coming back this time.Comment
