I'll still say, though, that it still slices both ways. There is no middle ground.

There are the ones that are still stung by the license and the not up to par NG past Maddens vs people that have hope for Madden 10.

It just won't be one way or the other until Madden 10 is universally approved.

I just don't feel Joystick dug in deep enough to give a fair report, that's my issue.

I agree with the first part; playing the devil's advocate, however, we don't know how good (or bad) madden will end up being. I wouldn't put it atop a pedestal quite yet.

Nobody but myself. No matter who or how someone rewiews a game it does not matter to me because the final say / review will be my own once I play the game. Why do so many people rely on other people's opinion's is beyond me. I will know how the game plays when I play the game and its as simple as that.

If you dont want to buy the game but want to review it. Well then rent it.

Everybody has there own opinion on what they want and how it plays. So how can you take anyone's word on it but your own is how I feel. Although it is nice to hear all the things the OS "8" have liked/ disliked about the game and would trust their words 1st to any site out there. But you should not have to rely on there words alone to help you make up your mind. Buy or rent it (again simple). The game may be better to you than to(joeblow) Or it might be worst to u than to (joeblow).

Well guys there is really no need to getcha pannies all in a bunch. We all have heard that anyone who has gotten their hands on this game besides the CD guys has only played this game on the lowest levels. We also know that on the lowest levels the game speeds are extremely different. We also know that there has been reviews from other sites saying that they were able to just run backward and launch the ball on the lower levels. We also know that this game isn't done yet. Just saying!

What I really want to know is what the heck is "the emotion of the NFL"? that has got me really curious, cant wait till E3.

Can you reference why you don't feel they did their due diligence before they commented on the game?

I think Joystiq has a pretty good track record with their commentary.

I am an avid gamer, and their opinion is usually well thought out, and spot on about a number of games in quite diverse genres.

Joystiq is very much the opposite of a "waste of a site". They don't have much to offer in the way of sports gaming news, but in terms of general gaming news, Joystiq and Kotaku are at the top of the game.

Most of the stuff on Joystiq is a "heard it here first" type of news for the gaming public.

Good point. We are the ones who actually have to like it right?! I mean if I love the game but 90% of people hate it does that really matter? I weight my optimism based on the opinions of individuals who I imagine are somewhat like-minded to me and are looking for the same thing in the game that I am. So for me I read closely people who really got into gameplay, but basically ignore opinions on cleat colors and other non-gameplay aspects. Again this is just for me.

When somebody with the game, claims that the game feels exactly like last years version (Joystiq), and another poster questions the credibility of that site, the natural course of conversation will be about the sites credibility.

Then wait for a blog, or somebody to post something with more details about those particular areas of the game.

Like I said before, are we not allowed to speculate on anything anymore here? Hell, that's what half the year is spent doing in the downtime between the end of the NFL season and the release of the new Madden.

Well, they are approaching the game from a skeptical point of view - many people are still skeptical about the game's "fun factor" - me included.

                                I respect that.

There has been a lot of fanboyism lately and it's refreshing to see the other side of things.

I look at everything equally - to simply dismiss this because it doesn't kiss the developer's asses is rather naive.
