    **All Trades Discussion Thread**

    New York Mets Get:

    1. Ryan Theriot
    2. Jeff Samardizja

    Chicago Cubs Get:

    1. Luis Castillo
    2. Duaner Sanchez

That was my best trade so far, I pwned the Cubs (even though it may be fair), I also gained a ton of budget doing this trade. Put yours on this thread.

I'm running with the Giants. I sent Aaron Rowand and Gaby Sanchez to the Cardinals for Rick Ankiel and Joe Mather.

Ankiel gives me more range and a better arm in center and pop from the left side. Mather is versatile being able to play the corner infield and outfiled positions with some pop. Decent deal.
      I love me some me!

I am probably misremembering some of these deals, but I dealt:

        Rangers Receive
        Jake Peavy

        Padres Receive
        Neftali Feliz
        Jarrod Saltalamacchia
        Jose Vallejo

        and

        Cardinals Receive
        Chris Young
        Heath Bell

        Padres Receive
        Colby Rasmus
        Jonathan Jay

As I look back, the second one was a little questionable. I cheated I guess, but Jay did not climb the ranks quick enough-- had too many guys in front of him-- and now he is up at 26 w/ no room. Rasmus has been o.k.

Neftali has been slightly disappointing, Salty has filled a need and Vallejo is not a bad backup.

Really, the best moves I made (I guess this might be a spoiler so stop reading if you are worried-- Knight's rosters)

Signing Homer Bailey for 800k, and rule 5'n that dude Rohrbaugh (who I imagine a lot of us are familiar with in year two).

I am in 2012, and am about to unload Adrian Gonzalez and Kouz to complete the overhaul. After that, no one will be left from the 09 Padres.

I traded Wilie Taveras and Michael Griffin for Buster Posey. He'll be my starting catcher for a long time after Ramon Hernandez is gone.

How is Theriot doing for you? He is horrible for me, Samardizja is so-so.

Not bad but Peavy said he would never play in texas.

                Yankees receive:
                Hanley Ramirez
                Taylor Tankersley

                Marlins Receive:
                A-Rod
                Damaso Marte
                Xavier Nady

I know this trade would never happen because no one will take on A-Rod's contract and only a crazy GM (in my opinion) would send Hanley Ramirez away (the only person I would ever possibly trade for amirez if I were a real life GM is Pujols, but even then I still think I would take Ramirez. Can't go wrong with a guy who is a 30/30 .300 hitter with a possibilty of being a 40/40 guy). Anyway The Marlins were all about the deal and I think it was pretty fair. They got a quality outfielder, A-Roid, and a good lefty for the bullpen. I changed A-Rod to a SS for them and he had a good career on the Marlins.

If anyone is wondering why I would trade A-Rod, I hate him. Never have liked him in his entire career. I have been following Hanley Ramirez since he was drafted and liek the way he plays. I moved him to 3rd base on the Yankees and he wore number 12. He batted 3rd in front of Texiera. Hit .335 with 34 HR's 115 RBI's 136 R his first year (and 56 SB's). Texiera ended up hitting .315 with 38 HR's 144 RBI. So it was definitely a good 1-2 punch in the 3-4 hole

You know what, you're right no GM would trade Hanley, but I think in video game world giving up your best player by far for another teams best player is fair enough. Especially when you throw in two guys who will play for the other team. You probably should've thrown in Austin Jackson instead of Nady though or in addition.

I just usually go prospect hunting.

Problem is I love Austin Jackson. I called him up in 2010. In half a season he was hitting .294 with 11 HR's and 40 RBI in the 9 hole. Also had 12 SB's. The got hurt for the season with a torn labrum. Ended up having to retire because of the injury. I almost cried

Looks like I started my franchise at the right time-- think the Pads just got robbed for Peavy.

Yeah, they can't resign him and he isn't happy so they are hoping these prospects will work out which they should. The ballpark helps any pitcher out and Poreda is actually a B prospect who could become good in San Diego rather than homer happy Chicago. Richard isn't half bad either.

in the off-season I traded Will Cordero(I signed him) to the Tigers for Dontrelle Willis.

Willis won his first start with the line stat:

                              9.0IP 11K's 3 walks, 2 hits 0ER. I had a no hitter thru 7 and a third innings and a perfect game thru 5 innings.

Cordero has 2 saves in 2 tries for the Tigers so its worked out great for both thus far.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(
