miami got screwed by the bcs computers that year, they were ranked no.2 in both polls. oregon's situation in 2001 mirrored miami's more than washington's from the previous year. the outrage for miami was based on how badly they played yet still only lost by 5 in the 2nd game of the year on the road with a youthful ken dorsey, then by the end of the year most considered them the best one loss team in the country. personally i think miami would have taken care of oklahoma or any team they would have faced, but thats the wack system we had or still have. it would have been a great year for a plus one just like most years.
